I went to this restaurant with an Indonesian friend of mine who ha a fair bit of experience making satays, and he said that the sauce was clearly out of a jar. I still enjoyed the meal, though it was slightly disappointing.

We went for dinner here and very dissapointed. My partner and I really enjoyed Asian food, especially because i am from Indonesia but we surprised when we ate in here. The chicken fried rice is no flavor at all. The nasi lemak, i expected that the sambal will be spicy, but it's not. Not good experience with high prices.

The Satay Hut is a reasonably priced restaurant providing a menu of Indonesian, Thai and Indian food it is licensed and BYO. The meals are tasty and the lunch prices are very reasonable.

From luxury girl and hypoallergenic boy: The waitress was very friendly and kind and remembered hypoallergenic boy's allergies from our previous visit. She worked with us and the chefs to prepare him a beautifully fragrant fried rice dish that he loved! Luxury girl ordered a Nasi Lemak with Rendang beef and it was fabulous! So large a portion, she could... More

Friendly staff and great food. We started eating before the fireworks during Riverfire and had drinks while watching the fireworks and stayed on after. Staff were really accommodating and friendly. Food was delicious! Thank you.

Beautiful flavours. Chicken satay was outstanding, tender meat and great peanut sauce. We also had the Malaysian noodle soup, which was also very flavoursome.

My husband and I had lunch at Satay Hut today. It was our first visit as we happened to be walking in Southbank. I had grilled chicken with satay sauce and rice while my husband had spicy prawn noodle soup. I enjoyed my grilled chicken as it had lots of satay sauce and the portion was generous. The chicken was... More

I would not recommend this restaurant at all. So many other places to choose from nearby. The meals came out at all different times. My chicken noodle dish was disgusting! It looked like it came out of a can. The service was really poor, we had to get up to ask for drinks.

We walked in on a Friday night and ordered the tofu and satays as starters and the curry chicken and nasi lemak with spicy lamb as mains. All the dishes brought back memories of our time living in Malaysia and eating hawker food. The flavours were spot on. The tofu was crispy on the outside. The meat was tender. The... More

Great choice of food. Two options for seating. Inside more romantic with sparkling ceiling and booth type seating. Outside more basic with plastic chairs. We had calamari for entree. We shared satay chicken, vegemite prawns and coconut rice. Very pleasant meal with great timing.

Thank Nicole R
