We were in Brisbane over Easter and had our first meal out at Sake because it's our restaurant of choice. When we couldn't get in on the Saturday we went to another place and we were so disappointed. We ate every other night there and it was beautiful. Equally, Malena (our favourite waitress of all time!) made it an extra... More

Being on a holiday trip with different locations, mountains and cities, we normally visit a restaurant one time only as there are others too. We visited Sake 2 times during our four nights stay; guess this says it all.

Room very inviting and set the scene very well for a modern Japanese dining experience. We had a chefs menu and it was wonderful. Standouts were the tuna tartare and the barramundi with miso butter and soy. The wagyu rump was also great. Wine list was very interesting and next time must try some sake. As part of the Rockpool... The three of us had lived in Japan and the food was reminiscent of the real McCoy. The sashimi was so fresh, the steamed dumplings & gyoza were just perfect. Many memories of all the good times in Japan came flooding back. The service was excellent. I will highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Mu husband & I were given a gift voucher for Sake we felt a little out of place as most of the diners were young urban types but the service was excellent & the food was beautifully prepared & presented

Travelled to Brisbane to see my best friend, and ended up going for Japanese down the road from our hotel. We expected the beautiful but pricey Japanese food; which didn't disappoint... What we didn't know was how great their cocktails and desserts were. Highly recommend the Nashi pear tart... It was divine!

The atmosphere was very relaxed. The staff were extremely attentive but not overbearing, we never felt rushed. The drinks menu was extensive with offerings of quite a few unusual Japanese beers. The meals were provided in a timely fashion and well coordinated. We will be back.

Well, I think the recent splurge in Japanese restaurants in Brisbane has made us spoilt for choice, and probably less naive when it comes to Japanese fare. We dined at Sake tonight on the occasion of our daughter's birthday, and although the food was "nice" we left feeling underwhelmed. I think we got off on the wrong foot when the... More

I was a walk in on a Monday night and about 3/4th of the restaurant was empty. The hostess told me inside was full and I would have to eat outdoors. It was cold and windy, but I was hungry enough to take the chilly table. My dynamite roll was a bit too spicy for my taste. I did enjoy... More

Very nice sushi, didn't enjoy the beetroot sauce but overall was a nice dinner. Arrived 15 minutes early but they accommodate us with some drinks
