Went here with a group of friends, hadn't been here for ages, was surprised to see people could bring their dogs, no issues with this, just didn't know. Food was average and some meals expensive like over $27 for schnitzel. Nice spot though with a lovely breeze. Drinks well priced, light beer was $5 a stubby.

A Darwin local told me there are 3 nautical themed clubs on the shores of Fannie Bay, all of which are good for checking that big orange orb dipping below the horizon each afternoon. -THE DARWIN (WATER) SKI CLUB: this is the everyman’s boat club. For the average person: or to use that misleading term, the hoi-polloi. -THE DARWIN SAILING... More

We had left it a bit late to make our choice for dinner venue, so missed out on sunset but ended up at the ski club. The main rush had passed so we had choice of tables to catch the last of twilight. There was live music playing and nice ambience. Was happy with meal choices, what you would expect... More

The location is sublime, opposite the Museum, and the sunsets are spectacular. The seating and tables scattered around the lawns look ordinary but you don't come for the architecture. The bar is well priced, and the food is very very good. Great spot to bring children.

Only came here because the sailing club was super crowded, but glad we did. The food was excellent and the setting superb. The music was a little loud but tolerable.

Got to ski club just before sunset, a couple of drinks then watched one of the best sunsets. Meals ok and you can help yourself to the salad bar

Went to lunch with a couple of friends. Menu was different, limited but Ok. It's the location and waterfront ambience that is the attraction. Food is different but for us was OK but not the main attraction.

Whilst it is a great set up and lovely to watch bands on a Sunday, unfortunately everything else is hit and miss probably best going here when Darwin is in peak season.

Took family visiting from interstate. Food much improved since last visit. New caterers. Hearty, good quality, counter food+. Impressed. Bar and bar staff same pleasant experience. Great late afternoon place to relax. Can get a bit bitey at sunset. Not a member yet but with the improvement in food (not that it was bad before!) I'm seriously considering joining. Great... More

Popped over to this gorgeous club following a visit to the museum on a day exploring Darwin and it's surrounds recently. Sunday afternoon saw lots of people in the gardens. View over the ocean is stunning. Setting is tropical and relaxed. Outdoor bar - staff friendly and efficient. Beer cold and on tap cider lovely. Live music and great atmosphere.... More
