I've had coffee and lunch here many times, as the ease of parking, and contact with nature really is special. It's a great location for friends or colleague meetings as a number of tables are far enough apart as to afford conversational privacy. A coffee, a stroll around the desert gardens, some bird spotting then wander back in for another... More

The misting around Verander was a welcome experience in 38 c heat. Beetroot crisps, walnut, leaves salad and juice was excellent. We had a different experience to previous reviewers. I guess down to who is on duty? I whole heartedly recommend the cafe.

We had the best breakfast here, and during the rest of the week we were in Alice Springs we returned for coffee and for lunch on different days. The cafe is in a great location in the middle of the Botanic Gardens. Plenty of disabled parking too, and easy walking distance.

Nice location in the (free entry) Botanic Gardens. Good breakfasts with the plant and wild life a bonus. Non-obtrusive gallahs and parakeets, plus a Rock Wallaby on the path behind the café.

I had a lovely breakfast here, followed by a quick trek up the hill to check out the plant life etc. Very enjoyable and I highly recommend you include in your stay.

Recently visited this little cafe, I once spent a lot of time here some years ago, but on my return found this little place so run down and staff could not care less. The food & service could improve. So disappointed.

This was a beautiful location and had a great atmosphere and if I was a local I would return for that reason and give it another go. But both of our poached eggs were overcooked - solid and hard. Pancakes were huge and the kids liked them. I'd give it another go, but they need to get those eggs right.

We were in The Alice for a week and finished up making it "our local". The ambience is superb and the staff are genuinely friendly. A bowl of granola with fruit & yoghurt will just about carry you through to dinner time.,

Good food and coffee, cold drinks, and a magnificent desert garden. A must see in the Centre. Allow a good hour at least for the garden, and bring your hat.
