Mr Chows on Thursday night with 3 friends. We wanted to try the restaurant and bought a coupon for an 8 course degustation meal. Every course was dainty, beautiful and tasty. We were treated with total dignity and charm by friendly, unobtrusive staff..

I've had the soft shell crab, calamari, scallops and mermaids tresses. All amazing, with the mermaids tresses being a standout. My father never requests to go to the same place twice, but he did... Mr Chows is under new management. The service is greatly improved and the food is fantastic. It was a fully booked Saturday night. Superb (as always) was the hot tea smoked duck - succulent and fragrant. Scallops with ginger and shallots excellent. Pork knuckle cooked in Chinese master stock was really good and enormous. Turnip cakes and vegetable dumplings -... More

I have been going to this restaurant for years as I work in the city and often host business lunches there. The management has change and their attitude is disgraceful I took a client there on Friday and didn't even get to sit down. The place was empty, only one other table taken and they put us on a small... More

This was the second time I went to this restaurant - first time was with a friend who is a regular - and it was the best experience. Second time was with my family and it was the worst. Service was the worst - unless you are a regular or of Chinese descent you are ignored. It was beyond belief!!... More

Located above the Captain Cook Hotel in The Rocks area of the city, this is a hidden gem. Up the stairs and you're in to a lovely space with nice decor. The staff were incredibly helpful in making good choices and ordering the right amount of food - we would have got way, way too much! The san choy bow... More

We arrived without a booking at 7pm Sunday night, it was busy there so we were excited. Décor is old but goes with the whole building. We were seated very quickly. Service was great even though they were under staffed. We were well looked after. We were seated next to a family that had children running around & staff trying... More
