I enjoy fine dining but Luke Mangan is not going to read my review. Went for business lunch yesterday with 2 others. For start, the lady manager welcoming us should be in a funeral instead with her frown & unhappiness clearly shown. Even at the time of bill payment, she remained extremely unhappy. If she doesn't like her job, find... More

Not vintage, but certainly a treat if you were to spoil yourself after a busy day. Didn't have the full dining experience but expectations were met with the most 'affordable' black angus option. Glass is located in the busy Hilton and hosts the who's who in town. A place to see and be seen with signature dishes that carry a... More

I’m newish to Sydney and have just moved into the CBD. Nothing better than a good breakfast buffet and I googled extensively before making my decision. The Glass Brasserie at the Hilton was consistently a high rater in any top 10 list of Sydney buffets. I gave it a shot and came away underwhelmed. It might be a 5 star... More

Visited with a group. Best feature was the atmosphere. Lots of people. Lots of noise. Set the tone right away. Drinks at the bar were good and prompt. Service at the table was excellent as was the food and wine.

Staying in the city for the night decided to treat my wife to a fancy meal. Started at the bar, friendly staff, ordered 2 cocktails, my wife's was good mine was a little lacking in the spirits. Seated to our table by a nice young man (waiter) I ordered medium rare steak with sides of vegetables. Our meals were served.... More

We went to Glass B for our 25th wedding anniversary expecting to have to spend a little more and hoping it would be a lovely night. And it was, we had a glass of champagne at the bar on arrival, then shown to our table. Wine and food waiter were very friendly knowledgeable. The wine list is very extensive and... More

A huge reputation of a 5 star restaurant, even the PM ducked in for a bite However, in comparison to others in the same class there is room for improvement The wine was not explained by an experienced sommelier and for the first time, 2 out of 2 tastings were very average The vegetables and taste were average Overall food... Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
