Busy little Malay eatery full of flavour. The roti is a must, served with 2 curry sauces and sambal, the Ayam Goreng (malay KFC) is very crispy and the Chicken curry is full of whole spices. Lunch for two under $40

Fantastic food, terrible queue. Not sure the 1 hour wait is worth it. I think there might be a case of conning oneself, "I didn't wait 1 hour for this meal to be crap", so it has to be fantastic? - Maybe there is some self-delusion happening here. My advice, just stay away unless there is no queue.

Place is BYO and charge $2 per bottle so if going for beer this can end up being a little pricey. Other than that the food is delicious and pretty cheap and that's all you need to know. :)

If Mamak was closer to where we lived, we would be there every week. Amazing, authentic Asian fare. It was busy and crowded but they managed to find us a seat quick enough. We had the roti canai, beef satays with limau ais!

Best street food in a clean and fanatic atmosphere. This tiny little space we could never get in to due to big crowds but last night the line moved so fast that we got it. Yummy yummy yummy...the staff and service is one of the best I have had. The food comes really fast to you and it's just like your... More

First heard of them from the food stall in Hyde park. Then found out they were just a stone throw away from China town. Their Malay food is very authentic and cheap. The chicken curry and variety of roti is just out of this world. Make sure you have their roti canai or planta as well as their ice tea... More

I've eaten Malaysian food a lot and this is some of the best I've had anywhere. Good value too. So not hard to see why it was so busy. Didn't have to wait long for a table though. Service was good despite it being packed. Lacking a relaxed atmosphere and would have been good to have been able to buy... More

Don't let the queue put you off. Once you have a table it's only short, and worth the while wait. Delicious !

Saw the reviews, lived the queue and then experienced the amazing food. We had two servings of the original roti (fantastic bread with two dipping curries), the satay sticks (OMG YUM!) and the banana dessert roti to top it off. Next time will have to feature one of the curries or rice dishes - or if the stomach has space,... More

Amazing authentic Malaysian food! Went as a family and we couldn't get enough! The roti is a must and I would recommend the satay as well as one of the dessert roti options. Simple but lovely
