Great food, with some creative and unusual combinations of flavours. Good service and ambience too. Can be a bit hard to spot from the street when driving by, as the place just looks like a private residence from the street.

AUD $230 pp for a seven course tasting menu was way too pricey for the tiny portions, simple plating and bare decor. Our dining chairs were actually office chairs and our table was covered with a white table cloth, very standard fare. The saving grace...More

Had a wonderful meal with three friends. Chose the Australian wine pairing, which they obligingly let us share between two females. Every dish was beautiful and delicious though the wagyu beef and chocolate stone dessert were my standouts. Very glad we could enjoy the wine...More

This is still hands down my favourite fine dinning restaurant. Enjoyed everything about it. The Confit of Ocean Trout was just perfect, melting in the mouth. I would come back again and again

Since moving to Sydney 18 years ago I have always wanted to go here. I booked for my business partner and I to celebrate our 5th anniversary - a celebration I thought worthy of the cost. I was massively disappointed. I felt the staff were...More

Interior is pretty simple but the food makes up for it. It's a degustation menu I'm told tweaked almost daily. There are certain items that stay on for a period of time but others may be changed daily. The presentation is impeccable, service is efficient...More

Lots of fresh fish and an amazing Waygu beef. Dessert was fine. We chose the local wine pairing which was very good with more than adequate pours. The seating is rather uncomfortable for a dinner that takes about three hours. They had no problems accommodating...More

Description
Tetsuya's serves a ten course degustation menu. The degustation is unique, based on the Japanese philosophy of using natural seasonal flavours, enhanced by classic French technique and utilising the freshest possible ingredients. Tetsuya designed his own on-site "test kitchen" within the restaurant to enable him to create the constantly evolving and inspiring dishes on which he has built his esteemed international reputation. Tetsuya's offers one of Sydney's most comprehensive wine lists and our sommeliers will, upon request, match the dishes with wine available by the glass.
