Looking for somewhere to eat on our first night in Sydney we came across this family run restaurant. They happened to have space for 2 but were otherwise full on a Monday night. The food was excellent, reasonably priced for Sydney and the service was efficient and friendly. Have booked to go back on our last night here.

My hotel concierge made a reservation for me. The appetizer was sashimi and was very fresh and tasty. Dinner was a broiled snapper & salad. Very fresh and lightly seasoned. Dessert was Expresso with brandy and ice cream. Very nice. The only concern I had was the staff was very busy and this effected the service. Go for the food... More

Close to our hotel, this deservedly popular restaurant was the obvious choice for our first night in Sydney. The food was so good that we returned on our last night, enjoying on that occasion one of the two tables on the first floor balcony. Again, the food was superb.

Went for lunch and my husbands 40th birthday. Amazing choice and quality of the fish we ate was outstanding. The whole meal was outstanding. The scampi and the bugs were the winners.perfectly cooked and so nicely complimented with salad and chips. The salads too are excellent. Lovely feta cheese and even my salad came with pear. Oh how we wish... More

This was my 2nd visit after the first visit. I am forced to write this review due to three reasons - 1) service - better than previous 2) Food - Wow! Better than before 3) ambience - quieter than before and peaceful... Guys please visit as am sure you are missing something! You Rock! Fish at the Rock!

In touring the area around lunch time, I luckily made a dinner reservation for that evening as we arrived the place was sold out. Of course the Fish as others have reviewed is excellent. The downstairs section is cozy and you did not feel rushed through your dining experience. I highly recommend this spot for a casual, romantic evening.

First time visit and would go again. We opted for the Early Bird Menu which was excellent value. Not only was the food delicious, the serves were very generous and we certainly didn't leave feeling hungry! The wine was also very enjoyable and not just "standard house wine" which we thought may have been the case as it was included... More

we started off with the shared starter plate and it was all pretty good. after we had both the salmon (excellent!) as well as the swordfish (pretty good). service was ok but could have been better, didn't get much friendliness or smiles out of our waitress.

We had a terrific meal here last evening - two notable dishes deserve special mention. While I'm not a big fish eater by any stretch of the imagination, the whole deboned barramundi stuffed with fresh diced prawns, vegetables and a red curry coconut sauce was exceptional. Equally enjoyable were the grilled prawns with garlic butter - the prawns were halved... More

Our first concern was getting there. It is quite a way from the closest Railway station, so we drove. The closest parking station is not that close either. All on street parking is metered and most is only 2 hours which is not quite long enough. There are a few 4 hour meter spots and we were lucky to find... More
