Was walking along looking for a lunch spot and saw this outdoorsy cafe type place. They also have indoor seating, but i sat outside since the weather is so nice Ordered the caesar and fries. Salad was average. Enough dressing and portion, but 1 big slice of super salty anchovy, and 1 slice of fried bacon. Fries was a huge... More

Had a short meeting here. Staff were friendly and the location is in a nice part of the city. Recommended.

I recommend their Vegemite and butter on sourdough toast for a take away breakfast. Generous serving for a few dollars. Wait time for my takeaway order was less than 1 minute.

5 days in Sydney and we have eaten breakfast here 3 times, great food, great coffee, nice service and reasonably priced. Try the fantastic eggs benedict.

Service? Indifferent. Food? I ordered the chicken pie and received a bowl of sliced chicken, a whole baby carrot and two asparagus spears in a lake of slightly thickened (cornflour?) soup. Sitting atop the centre of this unappealing trio was a solid lump of filo pastry. It looked nothing like a pie and tasted of...nothing. It was accompanied by a... More

I was recommended to come here for breakfast while on a work trip. My advice stay away. The home made beans are revolting.

Whilst dining in avenue which I thought was not the best, I over heard the manager shouting at a waiter saying things I would rather not say but it was awful! The waiter who was being shouted at couldn't of done enuff for us and was brilliant. Don't think I'll be going back here ever, felt very uncomfortable....

If you had poor service from the staff in this restaurant, don't blame them. I have witnessed them get treated like dirt - the way those men speak to staff in front of customers is not only humiliating but quite frankly disgusting. I would never recommend going here to anyone.

We had a team lunch here and while a few extra people showed up who had not RSVPed, they were nice enough to accommodate us by adding extra chairs to our group table. Most people were happy with the lunch they ordered, and myself and a colleague were surprised by the chicken pie we got. Based on the description we... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
