Sorry but I can not say anything positive this time around about the Alfredo experience. The food was expensive and tasteless. There is no authenticity to the meals unless you mean by name. The service was poor and for a business that has been around for a long time must be relying on family or one time functions to survive.... More

This little Italian restaurant was recommended to my husband and I by our hotel concierge. It was simply one of the best. (We walked a mile from our hotel to this restaurant and it was definitely worth the time and effort.) We shared the bruschetta along with a glass of Pinot Noir. Our entrée was eggplant with prosciutto & spaghetti.... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel situated locally. They kindly accommodated at short notice. All of our meals were delicious. My gnocchi just melted in my mouth, sensational. The Marinara was laden with seafood. Our boys were tired and keen to get back to the hotel, after mentioning this to the staff our meals came quickly to assist... More

I caught up with friends after work for pre drinks downstairs in their basement bar which was quite nice. Then went upstairs to the restaurant. It was nice having a pianist play in the background while having dinner. Staff were friendly and nothing was a problem. There were about 8-9 of us and we all had different dishes - chicken... More

Lovely, authentic Italian cuisine! The tiramisu was to die for.... simple but perfectly cooked, very tasty food at a good price.

This restaurant is well located for travellers as it is situated near Circular Quay and the Rocks. Train, bus and ferry transport close by. Variety of dishes including homemade pasta and fillings - delicious ravioli! Superb desserts. Excellent service with very knowledgeable and friendly waiters. Give it a go next time you hunger for some genuine Italian cuisine. I'm sure... More

Excellent salads and main order of pasta. Outdoor seating added to the charm and wait staff was professional and friendly. Would have loved to go back but it was closed on a Sunday.

The location was convenient - immediately adjacent to Marriott Hotel. The ambience was brick walls, open wood ceiling tablecloths and cloth napkins . It had all the necessary composition for a small town, local restaurant. I love the term "boxed pasta" as it so clearly defines the meal. Nothing exciting or interesting was on the plate and what was there... More

Good location. We had tried to go to other restaurants in the area, but they were all full. Like everything in Sydney, very expensive. This felt more expensive for the quality and serving size received. Boxed pasta, small amount, and was 'just ok', nothing to write home about, but also nothing to complain about. The setting was nice, the service... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
