Sangria was quite nice but I would not recommend ordering seafood as I got food poisoning from mussels. Additionally we were notified there was a problem in the kitchen and for additional take-away order we would have to wait 50 min. Would not go back...More

Hi dorotap212, We are very sorry that you did not have a great experience at Encasa. We do order our mussels in fresh daily direct from the market as they are a very popular menu item. We are very strict in our preparation process to...More

We were a late Saturday night booking here and enjoyed the tapas selection and flavours very much. Daughter and wife described the Sangria as the best in Sydney. Wife’s pizza was also very tasty and made from fresh ingredients. The pasta, however, (two dishes so...More

We just stumbled across this restaurant and did not realize there are 3 (?) Encasa restaurants in Sydney. The tapas turned out to be very good: we split the Gambas al Ajillo (King prawns in garlic), Boquerones en Vinagre (anchovies marinated in vinegar), Pinchos de...More

We have tried quite a few of the Spanish restaurants in the area with mixed success. Many have very small tapas servings and this led us to over order this time in expectation of the serving size. We ended up with too much delicious food...More

This is a little gem. We had some tapas and the paella valenciana and the squid ink paella. The meat balls, lamb skewers, garlic prawns, garlic mushroom, calamari, croquettes and patatas bravas were exceptional. The tortilla was a bit undercooked and lacked seasoning but still...More

Blunt, rude staff who rushed us despite 50+ cust. even suggested we order less, but was amazing food.

Dropped in at Encasa for a quick meal following the movies. The tapas were delicious as was the sangria. The girl who served us was friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere and very clean bathrooms. Enjoyable meal.

Great little Spanish restaurant. Unlike a lot of ethnic restaurants at this end of town, it is fully licensed with Spanish beers, sherries and wine. Good pizzas and a small but good range of typical Spanish dishes. Not grand, wooden tables, no tableclothes but comfortably...More

Always the dilemma of where to eat solo when traveling for business. Encasa was warm and welcoming and I didn’t feel to out of place. The waiters were very nice. The food was very good - I had the bruschetta and the chicken dish. Both...More

Thanks for your query. We are BYO for bottled wine only, corkage is $10 per bottle. We are fully licensed and our wine list has some great Spanish and South American wines at very reasonable prices.

Description
Encasa means ‘’at home’’ in Spanish, which encapsulates our vision: to provide Sydney with real Spanish food. Real Spanish food, like you would find in the cafes and bars throughout Spain. Our tapas menu includes everybody’s favourites and our specials menu changes frequently. This site has been home to a Spanish restaurant for over 20 years. At Encasa Restaurant you’ll find a relaxed atmosphere that equally suits large group celebrations or an intimate dinner for two. Located just around the corner from the Capitol Theatre, it’s an excellent choice for a pre-theatre meal.
