We called for dinner without a reservation but were allocated a table after a short wait. The main selling point for this restaurant are the fabulous views of the harbour bridge and the opera house. The food was adequate without being exciting and the service although friendly, was somewhat slow. The prices are expensive but that just reflects the location.

A tourist spot on the waterfront with views of the Opera House. Mediocre food and service. I can't imagine a local going there. We were staying nearby and we needed a simple meal and Wolfie's provided that

It was a lovely sunny day in Sydney, view was great, it is a large restaurant but very happy with service from a very friendly happy waiter who seemed to really enjoy his job which is great to see. We both ordered the pork and fennel sausages, mashed potatoes with a side of green beans. The meal was simple and... More

I've had my fair share of sub-par restaurant service and food quality but Wolfie's Grill currently takes the cake. Strolling through The Rocks on a Sunday afternoon looking for a decent sit-down lunch, the smell of the grill permeating the air is enough to grab my attention so I ventured out to glance the menu. The offerings looked really good,... More

Large tourist restaurant located along the waterfront. The main feature of this establishment is it's amazing views of the opera house and the bridge. Service was awful, long waits for food, I had to ask for my check four times, waiter left with my credit card and took a very, very long time to come back, food came before my... More

Our last night in Sydney on a 4 night stay and wanted to have a nice dinner. The Morton Bay Bugs looked extremely appealing but when they arrived were pretty dry and bland. After eating one, my wife called over our waiter, discretely explained we didn't feel happy. He immediately apologized and whisked them away, came back and assured us... More

Just had a lovely lunch at Wolfie's. We both had the cangurro and crocodile stark and it was delicious. The ambience is nice with great views to the opera house. A lovely way the chill and eat well in Sidney.

Had been here before and went back but on checking menu decided that both my wife and I would have 2 starter each rather then a main course. Was advised that they would not accept anyone not buying a main course. ???? could not believe that they were turning down custom (the cost of 2 starters was more than a... More

The food was mediocre at best. Bugs were tasteless and pizza was like cardboard. Ordered a salad but never arrived. Wine came after main course. But the views are spectacular, so if you want to trade food quality for beauty, this is the place for you.

Wolfie's Grill is located right on the water in Sydney Habour. If you sit outside under the umbrellas, you will get a good view of the bridge. The food is pretty standard western fare and is done well. Service is friendly. Its a good place for a stop after you shop on The Rocks near by.

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
