Lovely veg meals tasting better than meat based dishes. Full vegan choices. Used to be able to say hello to warming Mother Chu herself. Sadly she is not there anymore.

We have a worst experience with Mother chu. The food was so bad and when we gave feed back about the food the rude lady on counter said - dont come back again .... I was really ... this is the response you give to your customers when some one gives you feedback. .... the counter lady was so proudy... More

We came here for an evening meal. The service was quick, very good value for money for the city centre. There was A LOT of choice, a great place if you're a vegan too. The food wasn't phenomenal, but for the price, choice and location I think it was a pretty good meal!

Lots of asian/Chinese food here and ALL veg, right down to the ice cream. Great for vegans too. The variety is massive, the service is quick, and the prices not bad at all. No MSG used. This is not a 'luxe' restaurant, it is a simple place with good food.

Excellent food in a no frills restaurant. Food is fresh and delicious. The deep fried tofu entree is a staple. Last time we went we got spicy Szechuan tofu, spicy fried eggplant and a gluten dish. All excellent options, but there are a lot of choices. We have been coming here for a couple of decades & has to be... More

Been meaning to try this place for a while and glad we did tonight. Crispy peppered tofu was light and tasty but on the salty side. Highly recommend the eggplant stuffed with tofu and vegetable, accompanied by yum miso paste sauce.

If you like Chibese food in a relaxing setting, then this is the one. A wide range of menu to choose from. The one side fried rice and noodle are quite affordable, but if you have to come with friends for a 3-4course meal. The portion is slightly smaller than typical western Meals.

Seriously, it amazes me thay this place gets any good reviews at all. Basically a combination of slimy tofu and McCains-esque freeze pack vegetables. I'm certain any of the numerous surrounding restaurants would have been a better choice than this. Don't waste your time.

I am not vegan or vegetarian and I only dined at Mother Chu's because I was meeting up with a vegan friend. We found that the menu was essentially vegan, as it was totally dairy free and the only non-vegan options were a couple of vegetable dishes served with a honey sauce. That said, the meals were tasty and reasonably... More

We (2 adults, 2 teens) had an early dinner at this restaurant on a Saturday night prior to seeing at show at the Capitol Theatre. We rocked up without a booking as it was just a few doors from our accommodation at Rydges World Square (which incidentally we were very happy with, if you're looking for family accommodation in that...
