No less than seven different mussel offerings and a beer list as long as your arm. I'm home. Great service, lovely location in a historical building and a $20 main dish offer on a Wednesday. One of my newest favourite bars.

We went there at lunch time on Wednesday, it was fairy quiet but not completely empty. Belgian beer from tap tastes fresh and good! We had Mussels pot and side salad, both of them tastes so goods and generous serving :) Atmosphere is good too, classic style timber furniture & fittings, and we are so impressed to see some old... A great find in downtown Sydney. Great selection of tap beers and the beef stew was fantastic. I would definitely go back.

First, claiming this location as in The Rocks is a bit of a stretch. It's in the general neighborhood, but on the South side of Cahill Expressway, between Grosvenor and Essex. That being said, I wouldn't let it deter you from visiting if you need a pint of something foamy to slake your thirst. You'll find a broad range of... More

Had a very nice meal with friends. Good brews, friendly staff. Fish n chips meal pretty average but the Prawns were excellent. Interesting pubhouse environment but was very noisy and difficult to carry on conversations between 6 of us at same table.... Bit pricey for items.

The various Belgian beers are served in very interesting glasses. The service is excellent and the environment is very relaxing. Whilst I didn't try their food, it seems that the mussels are very popular.

Locat3s in am ancient school building the owners did a great job to transform it in a lovely Belgian restaurant. Service was very very good. You can watch sports also. Very cosy.

When I come home I always suggest to come back here with my family. I love that it's close to all the Sydney sights without it being right in the chaos. The Mussels are just perfect and easy to inhale. The waiters are always courteous, even though they were understaffed during our last visit. And the chips, just go down... More

I have never had a bad feed at this pub and when you mix the beers with the mussels you cannot go wrong. The service is quick and great for the kids who always wait impatiently for there food. A good choice when in the rocks.

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
