A Sunday morning, Bills Restaurant close by, perfect place for breakfast. As usual, a very popular place to eat, and once again it was necessary to line up outside the restaurant, to wait for a table. The wait wasn't too long. Efficient service. We had...More

I had been looking forward to visiting this restaurant for a couple of years and it certainly did not disappoint. This is the original bill's location, rather cozy and quaint. The restaurant was very clean, the prices moderate and the breakfast we had was well...More

Awesome fluffy soft Ricotta Pancakes & scrambled eggs that taste like pudding✨🍮🥚 I would stay in Sydney for this! By the way the restaurant's interior design has the "Hygge" style, and some nice lifestyle magazines, I liked it very much.

I hadn't been to Bill's in a couple of years. Wow how things have changed. Despite the ridiculously high prices remaining, the quality of the food and coffee has nosedived like the Hindenburg! $26 for the Aussie breakfast and I got runny eggs, one rasher...More

When I came to sydney I really wanted to try Ricotta Pancakes (not something I've seen in the states yet). I googled places and this restaurant came up. The service was friendly, the coffee amazing and I had the best pancakes I could've asked for!...More

I took a taxi from the city that cost about A$15 as I HAD TO eat at Bills - great choice! Fluffy ricotta pancakes and pillowy scrambled eggs. Very Aussie and funky juices - nothing boring like plain apple or orange juice :) Gets crowded,...More

On a recommendation from regular Sydney visiting friends, we stopped by here for breakfast. I had the avo on sourdough with the optional poached egg and coriander - perfectly done, and delicious. He had the bacon on brioche roll. We both had a juice, and...More

We had a really nice lunch here. Despite being crowded, it wasn't overly noisy and the food arrived fairly quickly. I didn't try the famous ricotta pancakes but the salad I had was incredible. It was a very expensive salad (about $20), but very delicious....More

Given Bills premium price point, we arrived for breakfast expecting above average service, a modern Australian menu, and great coffee. Unfortunately, this was not to be. Even though the restaurant was not busy we waited too long for our warm weak coffees to arrive, our...More

Thank you for the feedback. We have passed this onto the team.

Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney,
Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other
suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and
1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret
passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of
Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues
feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning.

Bills Darlinghurst, this is where it all began, in 1992. The miniscule kitchen and tiny dining room in one of Darlo's old backstreet pub buildings, serving just a blackboard-menu breakfast and lunch, set the tone for bills still does today. Local by-laws allowed only a few seats - hence the now much-copied communal table where everyone eats together, reading the newspaper or striking up a conversation with the person enjoying scrambled eggs next to them. Today, it's still a simple Sydney corner cafe, serving a menu of bills classics.
