Azuma is hard to find, so be patient, there is a lack of signage. Once you get there, you get two out three. One - sensational food. Two - efficient service. Three - zero ambiance. So for an evening out with friends it was a disappointment. They probably do a roaring trade at lunchtime and after work during the week.... More

Went there for casual lunch. We were thinking of doing degustation but we notices that the choices in the degustation wasn't what we wanted. I had Steak Bento (wagyu beef, miso soup, 2 x tempura prawns, a cold dish with sashimi I think and some fruiy). My partner had a sushi and sashimi platter. We also ordered soft shell crab... More

They offer a good selection of dishes in their set menue. Just need a little lift of the quality. We have tried better quality japanese menue with more reasonable prices.

I went their to celebrate both mine and my friend's birthday. We had the course meal, and I must say I enjoyed every course! It was filling and each plate an artwork. They even took a photo and printed it on a card to say happy birthday. It has always been one of my top picks to dine out, and... More

I have been to this place several times, and I really like it because of both the food and atmosphere. The food is always fresh, and presented very beautifully. The teriyaki chicken is one of my favourites. The atmosphere is great, the floor covering is carpet, so the place never feels too noisy no matter how busy it is. Every... More

Azuma is situated in the Chifley Plaza in Sydney which is an iconic Art Deco building. The restaurant is beautiful quiet space with elegant decor. Food was amazing. We started with Miso and ever so silky tofu. Excellent Sashimi, so fresh and tasty and amazing selection of sushi. The prawn & vege tempura were divine. Teriyaki chicken fillet was probably... More

We went to Azuma two times in five days. We had ramen tempura udon, edamame, agadeshi tofu, lots of sushi of course, and we enjoy all Japanese traditional courses. Sushi is very good and fresh. But Be careful with sushi dynamite it is so spicy...

My sister in law and I had a girl's date in this date for dinner. The food was well laid out according to your budget. We ended up having the beef rating 5 and it's not something that is super spectacular but the waitress recommended rating 9 which is $65 more. The appetizer was great but nothing special after that.... More

The ambience in this restaurant is really well done, with a wheelchair ramp as well as private rooms available. We came here expecting traditional Japanese meal, they do still offer it on their menu but we decided to try their degustation meal. The degustation menu is more a fusion rather than traditional Japanese, if you are after traditional, stick to... More

This was my second visit to Azusa after a number of years. This is one of the more traditional Japanese restaurants in Sydney. The service was efficient and friendly. Portion sizes were extremely large for Japanese meals and I couldn't finish my lunch (Aussie sized). I had the salmon teriyaki (a bit too sweet for my liking - better without... More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
