Meals very extensive but expensive, to be expected at the casino. Very quick service and meals nice. Omlet very European not Chinese. We would recommend this again.

After some fun on the blackjack tables and not realising the time, we found this restaurant downstairs and what a lovely way to end our evening. On approach it looked small but the Asian cuisine tempted us, so we headed in. Very deceiving! It went on and on, left right and round corners but we were finally seated and enjoyed... More

It's a 'flash' looking restaurant however the quality of food and the demeaner of staff is completely inconsistent with this . It's not cheap . It's fast and furious and lacks any kind of service panache. Yet the bill was rather up there given the average standard of food and service. Spring rolls - blah Beef main - blah Pippies... More

Very disappointing. Asked for their signature dish, the pippies but was so spicy we couldn't eat it. Service was dreadful then 3 of them hovered over us until we paid the bill, maybe they thought we were going to do a runner considering how bad everything was.

While Chinese cuisine is admittedly not a favourite dining option, we still enjoy and appreciate good Chinese fare whether it be trendy Mr Wong, die-hard traditionalist like Marigold or Michelin star setters like Tin Lung Heen in Hong Kong. The Golden Century in Chinatown has always been a reliable source of late night suppers after a night of revelling, and... More

Get your staff to learn about this. Apple Pay is more secure than PayPass.... Food is good and service is good but really in this century....would not accept modern methods of payment...

We went to the century for a birthday. the waiters were rude and rushed you in ordering. We weren't ready to order but they kept pestering us and made a face when we asked for a few more minutes. Food is no different to your local chinese restaurant. Nothing stood out to be honest. It was all rather average, edible... More

Description
Sydney Chinatown's fresh-seafood classics at The Star Over 25 years of being Sydney's favorite, The Golden Century Group proudly presented its new baby in July 2012, introducing The Century at The Star. Classic taste: The Century captures the essence of Golden Century, which has been a popular Sydney institution and the group's Chinatown flagship restaurant, by serving everyone's favourite classics and signature dishes. New look: Be ready to be wowed the moment you step in! Admire the 15 double glazed aquarium tanks featuring live seafood at our entrance; Sniff the American oak used sparingly across the bar and dining areas as you appreciate our matching wine; Feel our feature wall handmade with 82,320 chopsticks throughout the restaurant and twinkle with the hundreds of tea cup lights, our stylish backdrop over hanging at our semi private dining areas. Behind all these is a new interior concept brought to you by Hong Kong based Paring Onion Design, paying tribute to Chinese culinary culture with a refreshing and modern twist. In September 2013, The Century was announced the proud Winner for Best Restaurant Design (Australia & Pacific) by the International Restaurant & Bar Design Awards in London. Wine’& Dine: Our cellar is home to an extensive list of value and premium wines from the likes of Australian, France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, USA, Japan and China. Old and new world, young and mature, value and premium, our award winning wine list will bring your dining experience to another level. The restaurant seats 250 people and houses stylish private and semi-private dining rooms for groups of 6 to 70 people.
