I truly love the atmosphere and the ramen at this place. Hands down one of the best Ramen joints in inner CBD Sydney. Never disappointed with the thick miso Menya ramen. YUM

If you do an search for "Best Ramen in Sydney." You'll find Menya Noodle Bar appears on most of the lists and very well reviewed. Naturally, as a ramen lover I have always wanted to try it. At 2pm it wasn't very busy so it was easy to get a seat and the noodle was served quickly. I had the... More

Stopped by Menya after visiting the aquarium. Definitely a business lunch joint. Good ramen, quick service. Tight quarters - the block chairs are not very comfortable so perhaps it is to discourage folks from staying too long. The broth was a bit on the salty side but all in all, decent ramen. Hit the spot on a cool day. If... More

After a bad experience with Gumshara, I went to Menya without much expectation. I do not really like the seating arrangement, however, I've to say the ramen ordered were nice and the portion was big. When we stepped in, all the staff welcomed us in Japanese language. Ordered, paid, waited to be served. Easy. Definitely will revisit again to taste... More

If you're craving soup, this is the place to go! We ordered take away and both soups were delicious. There were several options on the menu which made it hard to choose, but the satay based soup was out of this world! All ingredients were fresh, the soup bases delicious and ingredients plentiful (lots of chicken and vegetables in mine).The... More

I always go here for a quick lunch with friends during my university time in Sydney since I studied at UTS. They have a set which is very affordable for a student as me. The food tastes really good even the price is cheap. I highly recommend to go to this place for lunch !!!

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighbourhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theatre, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.
