Killing time before meeting friends, I popped in to this classic pub for a bite and a brew. This is a decent pub - reasonable prices for good pub food with prompt service. Nothing special, but no complaints whatsoever. The pulled pork tacos were moist and flavorful, seasoned very nicely. If you can, grab a seat by the open windows... More

I was encouraged to go here by a business colleague who assured me we could eat, drink, talk and chill.. And how right he was. We ate on the first floor, were quickly seated and the service was just perfect.. relaxed and unobtrusive yet attentive. The food was simple yet perfectly composed and the wine list was a perfect match.... More

Don't want to think it's sexuality or colour based but I got allowed in and allowed a drink before a bouncer at rooftop bar told me and another gay friend we were intoxicated while other friends (white and straight) were fine. I asked if I could stay and not drink but not allowed. Not worth the discrimination

Stumbled in to this place while looking for a nice lunch stop for a 'beer and burger'. On the third floor upstairs is a partially covered patio and fantastic setting with sun, couches, bistro tables and a full bar. Great beer and wine selection and a somewhat limited food menu. Food was ok (I had the chipotle chicken sandwich) however... More

The restaurant was half full. Service was ok but not great. Ordered the fillet steak, ordered medium rare came out closer to rare but the meat was great. Great wine by the glass. Definitely a good spot for a business lunch

What a great rooftop bar and friendly staff. We popped in Saturday arvo and got a great table with a heater. Had burgers and mushroom arancini balls... All good. Maybe it can be the company you are with that makes a place fun .. But we enjoyed the bar .... Go!

Went for lunch. There is one singe dish on the menu that is vegetarian (it was rather average). The don't offer soy or almond milk for coffees, only cows milk.

For someone who works in customer service and calls himself the alleged "owner of the restaurant", he could take a few lessons in basic human communication. What a horrible individual! Would not recommend the restaurant to absolutely anyone, treated me like I was worth nothing on the phone and ended up hanging up mid sentence.

I've visited this pub a couple of times, one of those times when I was walking along Pitt Street after a night trip down to the Opera House. I simply discovered it as I was walking along and decided to step in for a drink. However, it was the second time I came back that I discovered all of its... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
