Four of us booked for a birthday dinner. We were told there were only two sittings so we could not dine at the time we wanted - it had to be at one of their allocated times, namely early or late. One of my frustrations with Sydney restaurants these days (and yes I do know why they do it but... More

Movida is a nice little place located on Holt street in Surry hills. They open early most days and offer a good range of food for Breakfast and lunch catering to the office folk in the area. Get the omelette... It is absolutely beautiful !

This is a lovely little spot. The food was great, the wine was great and the service was great. I'd recommend it. The only disappointment were the peppers that were pretty ordinary the rest of the food was great.

Was lucky enough to be taken there for a lunch meeting. Everything I tasted was exquisite. Follow the server's advice and order whatever they suggest. The cheese croquettes are a must. Everything is in quite small servings so order plenty.

Lovely atmosphere, staff and feel but menu was terrible. Left hungry as only a few starters appealed to us. Not very authentic compared to what you get as tapas in Spain.

My husband and I only stopped at Movida for a drink, so can't comment on the meals even though the dishes coming out looked delicious. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Having dined on a few occasions at MoVida in Melbourne I recently visited the Sydney restaurant - the food is equally impressive! There is a great tapas menu that allows you to share a multitude of dishes, and everything we sampled was delicious. The beef cheek and kingfish were a standout! Staff are friendly, helpful and responsive, and only too... More

Helpful, obliging wait and kitchen staff who made my meal a series of delights. Starting with a wonderful dry sherry of a type I hadn't tried before, with the taste explosion of the anchovy and smoked tomato sorbet on kombu cracker, it just got better, and finished with the texture symphony of the almond fondant dessert. Yum. and all before... More

We visited Movida with another couple on a Saturday night and enjoyed a delicious meal. The best part of tapas is that you get to taste many dishes, not just those that you order for yourself. The food was beautifully presented with interesting flavour and texture combinations and showed finely skilled techniques and ability in the kitchen. We loved the... More
