Well wasn't this place a find! Follow your nose down the stairs, to find this thriving little hideaway, delightfully tucked in the shadows of a major bank office building over looking an abandoned underpass - enchanting! Nice catch up with fellow highly motivated professionals after work. The crowd is full of heavy hitters discussing the weeks deals and victories. Put... More

Called in for dinner with a colleague, it was close to our accommodation. Great cocktail specials, the food was fairly average. Friendly, helpful staff.

Not a bad place for an after work beer but the ambiance is somewhat soulless and can be noisy if there is construction work going on nearby. Beer is cold but not cheap and the food typical average pub stuff.

I had lunch here with a work colleague yesterday. Located in the base of Westpac Tower right on the new thoroughfare from Kent Street to Barangaroo so will likely get busier as the complex there grows. The food is well presented and pitches itself at about a 50% premium on pub prices in the city. A good option in the... More

We went for a work farewell lunch and had a long table in the outside area, atmosphere was great, beer and wine also great, but the food was a bit disappointing and I would only give it an average. Our lunch extended into the afternoon and at one stage we appeared to be the only table there.

We dined here for dinner, and as always, enjoyed it. It gets quite busy on a Friday night however there were no problems getting a table at 5:30pm. It gets a bit loud, so try and find a corner spot to hear each other. Staff and service was great, and our meals were delicious and reasonably priced. If you like... More

I've been a couple of times now. Lunch with friends was delicious and reasonably priced, meals were a decent size, staff were courteous and friendly and there's plenty of room to grab an inside table. There's a relaxed atmosphere in the Flyover Bar which is pleasant. My next visit was after work drinks and again it wasn't too crowded if... More

My husband and I dined here last week on a voucher for $65. Valued at $170. A bottle of nice Sauvignon Blanc, a mezze platter and a hot/cold seafood platter. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and wine. The seafood tasted fresh and cooked well. My only complaint was the chilli mussels were "chewy". Yes it... More

My partner was given a voucher for Flyover bar "valued" at $96. For this my partner and I received one drink (beer or wine), and a seriously below par, scarce, cheap "meat platter" - which included some chicken wings, kebabs, kofta I think. It said no where on our voucher that we were getting a meat platter - gross. We... More

Went for a seafood platter after buying a voucher online. We were a little disappointed. There wasn't as much variety on the platter as promised. It has a very pub after work drinks atmosphere. Service was average. As we had a voucher for about 50% off I think we got what we paid for. However I wouldn't hurry back, in... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
