This is an unusual bar, off the beaten track. Good drinks, good atmosphere, American music from 50's and 60's e.g. Johnny Cash, Elvis, etc. Little dance floor. Setting and atmosphere very similar to Baxters in Clarence St. Good place to hang out.

Turnd down into Crown off Oxford Street and do an immediate right into the next lane. There is a door on the left which leads to some stairs down to the bar. Just a one room bar with an American feel. Good selection of bottled beer and cocktails. No beer on tap. Friendly staff and counrty and western music. A... More

Once you find this place (it's tucked away but worth the look) you'll find yourself in a great bar with great atmosphere. We stopped off for about an hour or so before another function and didn't want to leave. Staff are great, it's just s great place. We are going back soon.

It's tucked away in Foley St just off Crown St but well worth finding, full of character & interesting items to check out. There's no tap beer but a good selection of bottled beers, whiskeys & cocktails that are a little expensive but we still had a fun visit.

I'm from the US, so I was hesitant to go here, but so glad I went! This place is hidden in an ally and it wasn't crowded when we finally found it. The cocktails are crazy good and unique and free peanuts. I'm not a bug fan of the cheesy western vibe, but the cocktails made it all worth it.

My friend introduced me to this establishment. We arrived a to concrete stairwell in an ally and I was sceptical to say the least. But on entry I was extremely surprised. The bar is awesome. I felt like I had just be transported back to a better time. The bar staff were well dressed. The music was at a level... More

This saloon style bar tucked away down a laneway, drawing inspiration from country-western movies, has great vibe. Cocktails are nice and they have good selection of beers. Unfortunately we didn't get free peanuts but we really didn't need them.

Thank Mirna P

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
