We had an hour or so to spare so we headed, to this pub, we visited the pokies room where we had some fun,the games room is clean, and the hostess is friendly, offering complementary coffees and nibbles. The pool table room is also awesome, very old world reminded us of a cigar room, you just ask the bar maid... More

Stumbled across the Royal George while we were looking for lunch in Sydney and it was a great find. The food was great and very reasonably priced and the staff were welcoming. I had one of the best burgers I've ever had and my daughters both had the special cannelloni which was delicious. Seek it out!

Very average meal, staff were not very happy and had to wait a long time to be served. Food was okay but would not rave over it. All and all maybe it was a one off bad experience but will not be rushing back.

Came across this place while wondering Sydney looking of a place to have dinner. Very happy with our luck, the dining is order at the bar, but even though it was quite busy there was not much of a wait time for drinks or to order food. Dinner was quick and very good, we both had the parma and happy... More

Seemed like a nice spot for a beer, let down by the food. I ordered the chicken Parma which was ok, my partner ordered the chicken tandoori which came out dead cold. Not good enough.

This place has multiple floors and is especially busy around noon and happy hour. Its menu is geared mostly for office workers in the neighborhood who come for something simple to accompany the popular beers and other spirits. We got into the spirit of the place and ordered their spicy BBQ buffalo wings with Korean chili dressing. Not bad, but... More

Went with a work mate for dinner on the road. We wanted pub food and this was recommended The pub is upstairs and not what I think if in a traditional pub. You order at the bar and they bring the food. For drinks they asked us to leave a credit card and we settled at the end I had... More

Came on a Thursday night not expecting much... the bartender Liam was so much fun! we were going to leave early but ended to staying all night. He makes the best espresso martinis I've ever had and he even charged my phone for me. Legend. Definitely coming back.

Discreetly lit, the George has an easy warmth and charm that makes it a great place to relax, chill and enjoy some great pub food. Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
