I live in London but travel back to Oz regularly for business, so have high expectations about service & food standards. My family & friends like to catch up when I'm in town at a relaxed place where we can enjoy an iconic Sydney experience, receive great personal, friendly service and enjoy good food from a varied, well priced menu.... Looking for lunch? then the Searock Grill has great lunch specials. We opted for the Wagu Burger & the Chicken Sandwich Lunch Specials. Served with crispy fries & salads both were more than adequate for lunch. Cold beers & Gin and Tonic were served making the meal complete. Good service and pricing plus the pleasant view of Circular Quay and... More

Searock is a pleasant surprise in Sydney. A visit with an international friend was proving disappointing as Sydney's all too common pricing and pretentiousness was making it difficult to find a good steak restaurant. Wow. Searock is excellent, great steak, good service a nice quality wine list and good pricing... so good we went back the next day!

This restaurant is overpriced, especially for wine. They have only 2 New Zealand Savignon blanc on the menu and conveniently enough the cheaper? $12 a glass was unavailable leaving only the $19 a glass to choose from????? There is no excuse nowadays to not have a wine listed unavailable. Service was terrible, the meals came out wrong, then came out... More

The meals were fresh and great value for our large family gathering- service and responses to requests were delivered with a smile.

Stop in here for dinner on way home from Opera and both food and service were excellent. The waitress met us at entrance, took us to the table and severed our food and she was so, so friendly. Food was good so I would have rated the place with four stars... However.... Went back today for a lunch and it... More

First evening back in Sydney after 8 years. Had a great Sunday evening at the Harbour bridge & the Opera House which is a really quiet time. We planned a meal as a family and tried the Sea Rock Grill just off the Opera House. Seemed a decent menu & fairly priced. However we waited about 3-5 mins to be... More

Timing was New Year's Day for dinner but service was still good and dinner was timed to fit in with a show at 8 pm at the Opera House. My friends both had seafood meals and were very impressed. I had a small steak and a mixed green salad which was ok but not outstanding. I have had this meal... More

The only good thing I can say about our recent visit to this restaurant was the service was prompt & friendly & food delivered quickly. For what we had it was expensive (eg bowl of chips & mashed potato $9 each) & the steak tough. Disappointing as we have had good experiences before there when wanting a quick bite before... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
