When you have twenty minutes in a strange town to have breakfast before a meeting, you go for convenience. That was all that this cafe had going for it. Coffee was tepid. The "vegetarian breakfast" consisted of over cooked Ed with store bought baked beans and too much spinach. I will leave myself more time in future.

I picked this coffee shop from TripAdvisor for a meeting as I don't know Sydney well. The iced coffees were excellent and the staff very pleasant.

Great coffee, quick and friendly service and guess what, the food is good too. Try having a toasted ham and cheese croissant - it isn't squashed flat, it is beautiful and the make the best omelettes in town. Brekky and lunch only, very good.

Stopped in for a light lunch and chose 'salmon rissole with salad' from the specials board. Thought it was a spelling error but no, one rissole - mind you it was tasty, came with the standard salad from a bag, and service very good.

I had breakfast here because it was open before 8am on a Saturday. Service was a little patchy. The food made up for this. I ordered poached eggs with smoked salmon and spinach (without toast) and an acai smoothie. Delicious and well prepared. Filled me up for several hours. I would eat here again. Recommend this café.

The owner of My Coffee Room was a very friendly and accommodating host. The menu has great variety and the food, while obviously cooked to order, comes in a timely manner. Being opposite Hyde Park makes it great to pick up something to take away to eat, although the cafe is lovely to sit in. We both had the club... More

Always have breakfast here when in Sydney! The coffee is great, the menu is fantastic, service is prompt and friendly! Always have the daily papers to read! Eggs Benedict is yummy! Unfortunately not open on Sunday's! But they do need a day off!

Plenty of choices beyond coffee. The service is great and it appeared there were many regulars as the barista seemed to know many people by name. We stopped a couple of times as it was right out the front door of the hotel. Sydney, like Seattle it seems, runs on coffee and there are no shortages of coffee shops. We... More

I have been going to this place because it's close to work. The owner's name is Ming and he is always pleasant. I would highly recommend for breakfast the Bacon and Egg on Turkish bread with barbecue sauce. For lunch the sandwiches are always freshly made. The risotto is HUGE, the salmon with salad fresh and the chicken schnitzel sandwich... More

I popped in here for breakfast one morning when I was in Sydney and I have to admit that it was okay, but not one of the best coffee shops that I have visited while I was here. They did do a fruit salad, which I have to admit was nice, and the staff were pretty friendly as well. However... More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
