Sweet tooth? Satisfy your cravings at any of their outlets on one of their tried and trusted regularly available varieties or up the ante and go for a limited daily batch. The salted caramel is a huge hit but you won't go wrong no matter what you indulge yourself in. !!!They do provide takeaway but due to the nature of... More

We raised the average age hugely! The queue reminded me of the yoof queuing for the music venues on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow but they tolerated us oldies and the ice cream choices only took us a few minutes longer than those teens. fantastic list of flavours and what we chose was soooo good.

Great service, an unusual selection of flavours, and quirky specials. Often busy but that's to be expected when the product is that good!

We have been many times to Gelato Messina, often there are queues but it is always well worth the wait. They have many flavours and they introduce new ones regularly. My favourite is Italian Nougat and it's always a tough choice as there are so many other delicious flavours to choose from. We have had gelato in Italy and this... More

Thumping music, dim lighting and wide selection of gelatos with fancy names, these are the distinguishing attributes of the Messina brand of ice cream. Its branding obviously works as evident from the long queue, and surprisingly it is appealing to a following of any age. We faced a big problem at Messina: picking the flavours that we wanted to buy.... More

This fantastic log of choc and white choc gelato cake is to die for. Allegedly for 12 persons, but really serves about 16 at least. I've had a few of their cakes and yet to be disappointed in anyway. Great for farewells, birthdays, et al;

Always busy and buzzing when we visit at night or weekends, likely due to Messina name, brand and popularity. Usual Messina gelato, flavoursome and refreshing. They should cycle the flavours more often. We have been 6-8 times within 3 months and the available flavours have been the same. Prices are reasonable to high compared to other gelato around. Unfortunately cash... More

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
