On arrival and being shown to the table and there were 2 dead flies on the table. Staff was ok. Menu had numerous choices. Garlic bread for starters was just sliced sourdough bread with garlic butter but was not even grilled. I was disappointed with my chicken breast main. Servings are small and not worth the $36 price tag. Overall... More

This was our 2nd time at Pulp Kitchen and it was very disappointing. $36 steak overcooked and served with skinny packaged fries??? Only 6 oysters left at 7.15 at night and the other appetisers and main were ordinary. hopefully this isn't another case of a restaurant living off of its past successes..

Middle of the week but very busy, just as well I booked. Totally unpretentious, decor so la la but the place was humming and full of live. The menu was very French inspired and very unusual items to pick which made it difficult or another trip in the future. Foie gras was excellent and we had Lambs tongue and calfs... More

My friend and I recently enjoyed Sunday lunch here. The menu is not large, but there are also blackboard specials, and it's very good value. Of course, we ended up having all 3 courses - duck pate and goat's cheese souffle to start, followed by Spanish mackerel and the gnocchi, and both of us had the fig ice cream for... More

This local place is well worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood. Great modern cuisine cooked to perfection, and friendly and unobtrusive staff. We had the baked cheese and beef medallions, which doesn't did not disappoint. Even the coffee here was spot on.

Pulp Kitchen has something that not every Canberra suburban restaurant has - ambience. It's hard to pin down - an appropriately french je ne sais quoi. Is it the warm lighting, the furniture which is periodically rearranged but never replaced (predating the soulless industrial trend) or the hearty cooking smells that fill the space and cling to your clothes on... After going there for a friend s birthday, we decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary there with our family, the entrees were delicious, the duck liver pate is to die for and the pork croquettes were also a big success. The mains were full of flavour, my dessert were very light doughnuts, very yummy, my husband and guests took a... More

Canberra's weather is more European than most Australian cities, so that's the cuisine I like to eat when I'm working in the national capital, and why I decided to try this restaurant. I'm glad I did. I'm a fan of offal, which in true French style, this place does very well. But don't let this put you off if you... More

I like this restaurant because it is not like any other we frequent in Canberra. The menu is a little limited due to the fact we dine there so often, but the food is all delicious and the wine menu is reasonable. Can highly recommend the pate, croquettes, Beetroot Tart, Beef Medallions, most of the menu is quite good. The... More

One of the greatest food experiences of my life. Everything looked incredible and tasted even better. Definitely a must go for a fantastic romantic night. I will certainly be going back again.
