The Roost serves great, simple food. Sandwiches, fresh salads, pizza, brunch items early in the day. The restaurant is clean and cheerful, not fancy. Everyone comes here for the good quality of the food.

We stopped for a late lunch at 3:00 in the afternoon. Since we had not visited since the renovations we did not know about the bizarre new ordering rules. Because we ordered at the display counter as we had in the past we were not...More

I don't want to be, but I'm disappointed in The Roost after our last visit. We were sat, then proceeded to wait for over 10 minutes to be greeted by a server that very clearly was done with her shift and wanted to go home....More

The Roost from years back was a real gem on the peninsula. Fresh baked goods and fantastic sandwiches, made from their great ingredients. But now, prior to their expansion and even after, the quality of food has gone downhill and we no longer 'crave' a...More

A wonderful place for lunch. Food was fresh and tasty, excellent selection and extremely well priced for size and quality of serving. Service staff friendly and upbeat. Would definitely go again.

I wrote a review about a bad experience that a group of 18 had the Roost for dinner. Our group told the event organizer about our experience and she made up for it in many ways. I would like to thank the Roost for stepping...More

Our server was very sweet & attentive, and I hear that the breakfast/bakery items are decent. They recently added dinner to their menu, and my family was sorely disappointed in the dishes we ordered. After eating nothing but fantastic food during our trek across Vancouver...More

They're really not interested in you anymore if you're just stopping for coffee. "Get to the back of the bus" is the message we were given by a condescending employee. Customer service is not a strength here.More

Do you do catering? Such as a tray of sandwiches for about 40 people to be picked up? If so, what kind of price range would we be looking at? Thank you very much!

Description
We are a passionate farm! We create and share locally grown food and wines Situated in the heart of North Saanich's pastoral landscape, the focus is on local food and wine, and sustainability. More than just a bakery/cafe, The Roost roosts on 10 acres of farmland where we grow many items used to produce the food we proudly serve. The wheat grown and milled on-site is used to bake breads fresh daily. The blueberries, sheep, and a unique vineyard, all add to the authentic experience. You'll love coming out to our place! Whether you sit on the porch, get comfy in the secret garden, relax on our "chicken-bus", or laze at a picnic bench looking out over the farm and vineyard, you are sure to enjoy a passionate farm experience!
