Ordered an apple pie. Six pounds - a great bargain compared to buying a slice anywhere. They cooked it up, we took it, and it was perfect for a family gathering. Highly recommended.

Visiting Whitehead we decided to have lunch in The Old Tea House. Initial impressions were of a quality space with Edwardian character. The very high ceilings and the absolutely beautiful stained glass windows also at high level add to the uniqueness of this tearoom There is an extensive menu offering everything from an Ulster Fry to a great seafood chowder... Absolutely gorgeous local seafood chowder served by charming staff in a cosy teahouse- warmed us through on a miserable day. I highly recommend a visit here.

This is a second visit from My girlfriend and I to the Tea House. The first visit was fine, the food is of a decent standard although a little bit pricey for a Tea House. The second visit we were told the kitchen is closed so we couldn't order food. We arrived 45 minutes before closing so that's not really... More

Was here for lunch, and was absolutely delighted. A queue to get in this place is a good sign. The food was great, and so we're the staff. This place would get another visit.

We were staying with friends locally. They recommended the tea room for a traditional Ulster fry to set us up for the day. It certainly did that, in a lovely quaint old building. The staff were friendly. We didn't have to wait overly long. The portions were ample. The coffee was very nice. The food was tasty. The freshly baked... More

I had the lemon, raspberry and yogurt cake and a coffee. It was delicious, and gluten-free. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and they have very nice art for sale! ;-D

This is one of my favourite cafes. The building itself has an authentic Edwardian theme, which adds to the whole experience. Inside, the cafe is quaint and full of character. The atmosphere is laid back/ambient, with easy listening/lounge music playing and very pleasant staff. The food is also very good. I enjoyed it, as it was something different (not corporate)... We were on the hunt for a cream tea but arrived at the tea room, just as it closed. The owner, spotting our mournful faces, opened the doors and provided us with a delicious cream tea! The tea house is lovely inside, with lots of Edwardian period detail, great old-school tunes and vintage china.
