Lovely food and good service, but not cheap.. jacket potato, toasted sandwich and a ham salad, plus 3 drinks and 3 pieces of cake £50.. Make sure you have plenty of money when you visit

Having been here a number of times, I took a drive to have a treat. Ordered tea, sandwiche & scone. Sat near the window, plastic flowers on window sill looked old & dusty along with the sill that was dirty, not been wiped for a while. The tea pot came with a cracked spout & very dated, cheap cups &... More

We've been here numerous times now and we have never been disappointed. The food is lovely, as is the home baking, the scones are my favourite. It's a little gem in a beautiful town.

OK, let's start with the positives. The cafe is pleasantly situated, has plenty of parking, has an outdoor courtyard which would be nice in good weather, and the coffee is not bad. That was about as good as it got for us. We ordered coffees and a couple of sandwiches, one of them toasted. Nothing complicated. My coronation chicken sandwich... More

Wow what a truly nasty piece of writing! For information our bread is made at a craft Bakery in Norton & is of great quality. We didn't have a single complaint from anyone on the day you were with us & nobody left their food. Why didn't you speak to a member of staff & at least given us the... More

We don't visit often, perhaps a couple of times a year, Sunday dinners are always excellent as are light lunches, perhaps a bit old fashioned in some ways particularly the drinks, but service is good, foods lovely, priced at the higher end of what you would expect but you don't feel cheated. Recommended.

Popped in mid-week, and luckily we *group of 6 arrived in good (pre-lunch) time as it soon began to fill up without a table to spare! Gorgeous surroundings are traditional with lovely fixtures and tucked away tables. The menu is affordable from small bites, starters to a very hearty lunch and healthier options should you choose. Very tempting desserts, if... More

Nice home cooked food. Huge portions. With a side of veggies which are always cooked perfectly with lots of choice. Chips are fab too. If you have space for a dessert I have t yet had a bad one. Nice to sit next to an open fire on a cold winters day. Staff are always friendly and if you go... More

We came here for a mid week lunch from work. I had been here at the weekend with my husbands and the hot roast beef sandwich and chips which was lovely, so was looking forward to dinner. We enjoyed a mixture of starters including soup, pancakes and prawn cocktail. Followed by jackets potatoes roast Turkey, roast pork and veg. Rounded... More
