Thoroughly enjoyable! We had been recommended this restaurant and we really enjoyed everything. In these worrying times, the space between the tables (in the open air) was ample and everything was sealed, the bread, the cutlery etc. We shared chorizos criollos and they were excellent,...as were the oxtail ravioli - really recommendable! We then shared two different cuts of meat, served just as ordered and really tasty. The service was excellent. All in all, a place to return to.More

Went with 5 friends for a Sunday lunch. We shared some of the empanadillas they home make with so many fillings to chose from- they were amazing! The only thing that dissapointed us was the organisation of the tables as the restaurant was too crowded...that you couldn't have much space between tables, and it was a very noisy enviroment so it made us felt a bit uncomfortable and wanting to leave after the meal.More

Sorry for the little space but that day we were very crowdy and people were added to other tables without tell us before. We are usually a quiet restaurant but sometimes not. Thanks for the opinion about the food. Sorry again and I hope we...More

Visiting Palacio Real La Granja and looking for a place to eat. Saw this about 5 minutes away. Sooo glad we went. Friendly greetings from owner who is from Buenos Aires. I lived there for 2 years about 50 years ago. So we ordered things...I remembered.... Empanadas, ravioles, bife de lomo, alfajores con dulce de leche. WOW!!! Great food, fabulous attention, decent prices (medium, but for beef brought in from Argentina, well worth it!). We may never be back in this area again, but if we are, we'll most certainly come back here! Perfect way to celebrate our 49th anniversary. If eating at night, be sure to call or email for reservations...More

This restaurant might be just on the wrong side of shabby-chic for some, but I really enjoyed the casual and relaxed atmosphere. The main courses were tasty. But I found the starters and sides to be priced for what we got. The empanadas were smaller...than we expected for the price, and I felt it was a bit cheeky to charge us for a few slices of bread. I don't recall ever paying for bread any where else in Spain. It wasn't much but I felt like I was being nickle-and-dimed. The desserts were great, but the bill left a bad taste in my mouth.More

This was the best beef I have ever had. It was so tender you could eat it with a spoon if you wanted to. It came barbecued with a tangy chimichurri and crisp chips. We shared some mini empanadas as a starter and they were...lovely little surprises. I think we had one with goat´s cheese and herbs, which was absolutely mindblowing. The warm family run feel and the rustic surroundings make this place an absolute must if you find yourself in the region. I think I will have to come back every year if I continue getting invited to the regionMore

Had lunch between a hike in Penalara and a visit in Segovia. The spaghettis, empanadas and the homemade alfajores are outstanding. The owner is super friendly. He speaks perfect English and makes a wicked iced coffee in a cocktail shaker. Although it is a parilla,...a vegetarian could easily find a ton of items to be very happy. I have great memories of a fantastic day out with friends, thanks to Tio Pepe!More
