We love the pear tree and it's become a regular of ours with a consistently excellent meal and a lovely, homely, friendly welcome. On this last visit, we had the same experience but topped with, and I say this with experience, the best sticky toffee ever. Well done Chef Adrian.

Stayed B & B. Lovely comfy beds. Took our little daxi with us. Lovely garden and dog walks close by. Quite dark outside if the hotel grounds do take a torch. Breakfast was nice but I would have liked the choice to have unsmoked bacon. Staff lovely, welcoming and helpful. Will stay again but ask about bacon then night before.

Amazing Sunday lunch in the sunshine, not that the restaurant had anything to do with that. Lovely bottle of Sauvignon and beautiful roast pork. Delightful hosts and friendly staff. Definitely go again and did on Tuesday for a repeat performance compete with heavenly Rhubarb crumble that was far too naughty for a school night!

A beautiful, tucked away property which was tastefully and originally decorated. Friendly staff and good service. We stayed one night in the family room. The room itself was very clean, well-appointed and pretty. The only negative was the over powering smell of drains which came from the bathroom. I did mention this upon check-out and do hope that this issue... More

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend at the Pear Tree Inn. From the moment we arrived, the team made us and our black labrador feel so welcome (even giving our dog some treats!). We stayed in Starkrimsom room (they're all named after Pear varieties). Our room was done up to a nice spec, lovely teas and a cafetière, nice big... More

Jackie and her team are absolutely fantastic. We previously had a wake here following my mothers funeral and as that had been so good decided to return. Everything is taken care of for you, a lovely array of fresh sandwiches and large Victoria sponges accompanied by tea and coffee was perfect for the afternoon. All the staff here are friendly... We used to go here a lot, before Marco Pierre White's reign ruined it. So having read favourable TA reviews under the new owners, we thought it a good time to revisit. First impressions - a big improvement on decor and with now friendly staff. The dinning (garden) room is lovely, but having pre-booked as a couple we were disappointed... More

Called in here for a Sunday lunchtime drink but have not yet eaten here. The pub has a good selection of Cask Ales and a real cider , the decor is very tasteful with very welcoming staff. I would certainly have no hesitation in drinking here though I felt the menu was a little expensive.

Dear Empcom, Thank you for reviewing your experience in the bar on Sunday - It's good to hear from someone who appreciates real ale! Our food is priced according to the selection of local organic meat and locally grown vegetables - You need to try it, definitely worth it. Many thanks, Marcus More

Description
After being closed for over a year The Pear Tree Inn has been carefully restored as a farmhouse kitchen with bar & rooms. It has a relaxed & rustic appeal to the locally sourced menu & reclaimed quirky decor.

An old stone build farmhouse with rug strewn flagstones & reclaimed timber flooring. It features worn wooden tables with mismatched furniture and linen napkins. The Pear Tree Inn will showcase the best local suppliers with a menu guided by the seasons. It also offers overnight guests eight contemporary individually decorated rooms split between the Inn & a beautifully converted barn
