Who knew they specialized in Montreal smoked meats?? My husband was just delighted to find a fried bologna sandwich and we shared an eclair...yikes, it was sooo good. I love the pick up window on the side of the building. This was a terrific stop...for lunch!More

White Sails is our go-to spot for a casual bite to eat in Summer. The club sandwich and the steak sub are delicious.

Talk about a Roadside Attraction. We were looking for a light snack and a drink and this place appeared around the very next corner. Thinking we were going to get maybe a bagel or a tart imagine our surprise to find every imaginable home made...bakery delight on the shelves. Bonus were the lakeside chairs. Heaven!More

I make a point of visiting White Sails for cinnamon buns ever time I'm in NS. In a pinch, the eclair is a pretty solid treat.

The food here is wonderful and it has outdoor picnic tables on a seaside bay! Very friendly owners and staff. Favourite of locals!

On our way to Liverpool from Halifax came across White Sails for lunch. Chowder was ordered but then my wife saw the smoked beef wrap which was fantastic. My chowder was great and as it turns out one of the best in our 2 weeks....My son had lobster roll again one of the best. Ate next to the lake. One of our favourite memories of the holidayMore

Being a French-speaking family with French Canadian heritage we just had to stop at this Nova Scotian bakery that advertised Montreal smoked meat, sugar pie, tourtière and poutine. We didn’t try any of those dishes, but we reveled in their fresh biscuits. We needed a...pound of coffee as well and they graciously agreed to grind it for us as our rental cottage didn’t have a grinder. The staff was super friendly and the busy place made us want to go back again soon.More

My family has been a customer of White Sails for over 30 years, through several owners, but I had not been in for a while. I really missed it. The reputation of their sugar pie preceded this visit.and really did not disappoint in any way,...sweet but not excessively sweet. Their 'personal pies' ( coconut cream, apple, blueberry, but too late for the lemon meringue) YUMMMY!!! Skor bars, Nanaimo bars, date squares, Oh Henry squares ( nothing like the chocolate bar), carrot cake, YES to ALL; and let's not forget their breads and rolls...sigh.. heaven for the taste buds. I could go on, but why.. go here, discover great food. Hindsight is a wonderful gift, and I wished that I had decided to wait in line to experience their smoked meat meal (which was just out of the smoker and being sliced)..it smelled incredible and/or got a couple of lobster rolls, which also were calling to me. Next time....White Sails, NEXT TIME!!More

They make great cream pastries and the sandwiches are extremely tasty. Pleasant and scenic when eating outside in the summer.
