After reading the reviews here and on Facebook, we couldn't wait to try Chilpayas. Such an excellent experience - the food was fantastic, the welcome was warm, the staff checked on us regularly but quietly. We began with giant mojitos and chips and dip, and...More

We had a wonderful shrimp lunch here. Menus only in Spanish but staff were very helpful with the translation. We would definitely go back here again. Reasonably priced and free tasting of soup and drink as well.

This restaurant is worth taking the collectivo (8 pesos) from the beach side over to the bridge,a quick less than 5 mins walk to the restaurant from there.Everything is great from the owners to the excellent service.Seafood is their specialty and you won't regret it.

Friendly owner and staff, delicious food. Guacamole, coconut shrimp, ceviche, grilled octopus are all not to be missed. The complimentary crab soup is the best in town. Definitely worth a trip to Colonia.

I was just in Puerto Morelos last week and had the pleasure of visiting Chilpayas. First, the ambience is spectacular, you are surrounded by plants and wooden furniture for the larger tables. The sounds of the street give a calming but not erratic feel. Second...More
