Based not far from here so this was our local. Weekend BBQ was great and the Cornish Orchard cider went down a treat. Live music shouldn't be missed.

Well looked after by the bar staff who brought paper and a pen for two young children, we enjoyed a burger and chips, a seafood platter, two rather tired and skimpy chicken Caesar salads and reasonably priced children's portions of cod and chips and steak and chips. Deserts were standard and uninspiring although the ice cream went down well. OK... More

Went here for lunch, ate in Bar as it was booked up in restaurant. Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Food was very well prepared and both my fussy children cleared their plates! My meal was lovely , I had the seafood platter. My wife had the lamb chops with potato dauphinois which was very good but the portion was... More

My parents have visited the pub on several occasions on there visits to the area but unfortunately the food and standard of service was appalling. This time around. When my mum went to complain she was told by a young waitress that she didn't have time to wait on my parents hand and foot! Not great customer service and perhaps... More

Did a circular walk from the beech at Caerhays via Dodman Point and Gorran Haven and back through Gorran. Lovely pub if you don't want to take a packed lunch. Good selection of food and beers and very helpful staff

We stayed in Goran and this was our nearest pub. We found the locals friendly and most of all the pub was dog friendly. The menu was basic but the food was very good especially the Barley Burger. Plenty of room in the bar with a separate restaurant space and outside a large beer garden. Well worth a visit.

Disappointing meal, we had heard good reports about the meals but must have visited on an 'off' day because the meal was far from good. Mediocre at best!
