A nice outdoors place for lunch, by the Chapala lake, with a wide variety of seafood. 4-cheese shrimp are very good, but a bit creamy, empanadas and octopus are also good.

the food is average tourist food, but great thematic place to spend the afternoon, but don't miss desert because if your a flan lover, it doesn't get much better than this!
San Juan Cosala is a very, very popular Lake Chapala restaurant.Lake Chapala is the largest lake here in Mexico.I have lived here now 22 years after living on Maui for 23 years until it became very crowded visitor destination.I then moved here to Ajijic.Like many of...More
There was almost no one there on a Friday night. That should have told us something. The first few tables we tried were dirty. There are no menus in English. The staff really doesn't speak English. The food was overcooked. There was no dessert. The...More
The service was so good, the waiters were just charming.Food was excellent. Great view of the lake We went for lunch midweek so it was not crowded. On the weekend, there are an enormous amount of people
The food was good, staff helpful and the place is nice and in a good location. The live music was a nice touch too. You wonder now why score it so low? Well after a nice lunch we walked to the exit when we noticed...More
A bit pricey at 420 pesos but excellent! Innovatively stuffed with fruit (yes I know it sounds odd) its 5 star class. Depending on where you are seated, it may be a bit noisy when there is music but overall a pleasant time.

I recommend coming here for lunch. The views are gorgeous, there's live music and it's fun for kids. The molcajete de camaron is amazing, and like everything in the Ajijic area, the prices are ridiculously low.
