Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely cafe / restaurant just off the new Macroom bypass in the pretty village of Baile Bhuirne (aka Bally Vourney). Have called in many times en route to Cork or Kerry and enjoyed their delicious all day breakfast, quiches, apple pies, coffee. Great to hear Irish being spoken too. Delightful every time and highly rated by all the family. Plenty of parking in front and at rear. Will be back again soon I hope!

We were travelling from Cork onwards and wanted a good place for breakfast. This place was amazing, so much food - great service and decent price. I’d recommend stopping in here for breakfast for sure

Lovely staff and good food. They have quite a good selection and there are new items daily. Defiantly recommend if you’re driving thru or staying the night nearby.

We spent our day touring around in county Kerry and County Cork seeing the sights. We traveled a distance from Cobh and Cork to do some touring in the countryside. We wanted to have a genuine local lunch experience and our very knowledgeable driver/guide recommended this cafe. We were delighted with our lunches. Several of us had the vegetable soup as a warm up and it was piping hot and served with very dense brown bread and butter. The sandwiches were very generous and my burger was served with coleslaw and a big bowl of perfectly cooked fries. My wife had fish and chips, two had pannini’s. After tasting my fries there were a couple of added orders of fries. We were between towns but this cafe is well worth the stop.

We stopped here for breakfast on our drive from Blarney to Killarney. We feel it gave us a true local Irish experience! The ladies that cooked for/served us were lovely and the food was delicious. It was neat, as Americans, to sit among the locals and hear their accents. I also had a great latte!

Stopped here for breakfast on the way to Killarney, I have passed it so many times & always wanted to try it. It was a big let down for me.... breakfast was very basic for the price... no little extras. No general chit chat from the staff serving/ordering & staff hardly acknowledged us when we walked in. Menu lack detail for what you get with full/mini breakfasts! We found nicer cafes in Killarney & had more with the breakfast for the same price. Disappointing to say the least....

Some attention to tidiness, cleanliness of the floor and seating and tables lacked on my visit. It was 10:00am and i went for breakfast. Sat at a cleared table that had been wiped down. The first seat I tried had pieces at breadcrumbs still on there. Table still had remnants of breadcrumbs. In the corner behind the table it seemed like anything that was swept from the floor had been deposited there (crumbs, bits of breakfast meats). But don’t get me wrong. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were very nice. Service was faultless. This cafe is in a very good location in Ballyvourney. It’s nice and airy. It’s probably a goldmine in summer. But it does need that final action of tidying up properly out front to get the five stars I think. I will be back mind you as this review may look very negative, but meant to be constructive criticism

Bacon and eggs with beautiful home baked brown bread. Freshly baked scones just out of the oven and Barry's tea- really great- clean toilets and nice staff.
