Again, like last year, we were impressed by the high quality of mostly simple looking dishes, like a soup, a pasta-dish and others. And Again, the selection of wines from the Modra region war superb and the staff, warm and friendly and well trained. Martin, the man behind that venue, succeeded to bring Modra on the map for travellers looking for wine & dine.

Wild Kitchen Modra in Slovakia is an absolute culinary gem. From the moment you step inside, the rustic yet stylish ambiance captures your attention. The menu is a delightful fusion of traditional Slovak cuisine and modern gastronomic techniques, resulting in innovative and mouthwatering dishes. The quality of ingredients is exceptional, with a focus on locally sourced, organic produce. Each plate is a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The attentive and knowledgeable staff provide excellent service, enhancing the overall dining experience. After having moved to Slovakia a couple of years ago, I can tell you that it is very hard to find a talented chef around. A lot of places get good reviews because most people don't seem to know any better. But this restaurant really warrants the highest marks. Every ingredient on every dish we tried was there for a reason and could be tasted. This chef can cook!
Some things you might want to know:
Pricing is cheap for this kind of quality, although higher than the usual restaurant in Slovakia.
I wouldn't recommend bringing kids here.
The chef will come and have a chat with you, provided it is not too busy.

I have never had such great food in Slovakia. Imagine a small cafe in Napa Valley dedicated to fresh, local vegetables and herbs and perfectly prepared, original salads, pastas, breads,and sea food. Paired with the best local wines. This is like that, only much better, and at a fraction of the price. A truly unique meal. You won't get better!

Prvý krát po pandémii sme chceli isť s rodinou do reštaurácie. Telefonicky sme boli dohodnutí, že prídeme do ich reštaurácie v Modre do 15:00. Keďže sme hneď nenašli voľné miesto na parkovanie do reštaurácie sme vstúpili 15:10, bezohľadný majiteľ nás vyhodil preč napriek tomu že sme prišli až z Bratislavy, navyše s dvomi hladnými deťmi. Ako sme sa dozvedeli neskôr o povahe pána majiteľa aj inde v Modre nemajú dobru mienku.
The first time after the pandemic, we wanted to go to a restaurant with our family. We agreed by phone to arrive at their restaurant in Modra by 15:00. Since we did not immediately find a free place to park in the restaurant, we entered 15:10, the ruthless owner threw us away despite the fact that we came all the way from Bratislava, plus two hungry children. As we learned later about the nature of the owner, they do not have a good opinion elsewhere in Modra.

I had incredible experience at Wild Kitchen Modra. The place had amazing atmosphere, local decor with mediterranean feel to it. Staff was attentive and friendly. Everything was fresh and from locally grown ingredients as I later found out. I ended up the day with a dandelion lemonade although the wine is on top of the list everywhere around this cozy little wine town. The selection was amazing and the team made me feel special and I will return again when in Modra. Highly recommend!

Something you didn't expect. Surprisingly kind service, probably the best experience I've ever had in Slovakia. This on top of the amazing mediterran kitchen with great taste for the right spices. Hats down and way to go! We loved every minute of our stay.

A very interesting concept, excellent cuisine, very well-balanced dishes, very good food quality. Very pleasant service:)
This is a bit of a disadvantage: we felt cold in the restaurant and the restaurant has a small setting, with slightly more modest seating and less intimacy.

This wonderful place is 200% worth traveling to the Slovak vine capital - Modra. Or another good reason to be here. Elegant, modern and bright design, quick service,passionate and friendly team, wonderful food from chefs with impressive international experience - simple, genuine on one hand and interestingly mixturing seasonal products and ingredients from all the world on the other - just a perfect haute cuisine offered in generous portions and reasonable price ! You will feel as if you were in a good gastropub somewhere in London.Our compliments and admiration go to this talented bright arising stars! Tried fish soup, grilled salmon with creamy polenta (can be a separate menu star!) and forest mushrooms and Fried goat cheese with baked sweet beetroot, pear and pistachio! Paid 38 euros with water and a glass of good wine. Do not be afraid to share main courses- one is enough for two. Compliments !!!👍🏻🙏😍👏👏👏👏👏
