As part of the ferry trip to gozo and comino we found this place after seeing the rave reviews here on tripadvisor. Partner ordered lobster ravioli and myself, the gozo cheese, tomato and herb sauce ravioli. Both delicious but especially the lobster ravioli which was...very fairly priced too. We waited around 30 minutes but did have the complimentary bread and bruschetta. The toilets were up a strangely narrow spiral staircase, but they were clean, no problem. At the end we had the cheesecake that had a tasty and salty biscuit basket, with strawberries and cream to go with it. If we're ever in the area again this place will be the first we look for food at. Kudos to the chef and friendly staff.More
Lovely late lunch at Sammys. Food was great (local lamb and prawn pasta, both very fresh) and the welcome was super. Friendly, cheerful staff … everyone smiling. Definitely recommend.
We ate there for our first evening in Gozo. Easy to make a reservation and the welcome was great. We enjoyed the food, the service was excellent and the prices were fair. We ate from the main menu and the special’s board. All good!
Went there fur lunch on my own. Found seat on their veranda. Scallops, pasta and house wine ( 0.5 liter for 6€,), large sparkling water were ordered. Service by the Mrs. owner and lovely waitress from Kenia was heartful and always with a smile. Wonderful😍...Bread and butter service followed by a very nice bruschetta on the house. Scallops were fresh and with corail on. Top 👍Lovely portion of pasta with prawns as main. Yummy. Lemon tarte with vanilla icecream and a cappuccino as desert. All fine, nice service, very reasonable prices and a liqour on the house. I'll be back👍👋👋👍More
Dinner at Sammy's in Gozo on the harbour. It is best to make a reservation at restaurant Sammy's. We ate there twice and without reservation you have to come very early. The food is good. The staff are very friendly but sometimes a bit clunky...which is funny and something else. The fish soup, squid and grilled fish are very tasty.More
Delicious food, well priced, great service! We waited a little while for our food but didn’t mind at all - it was all made to order so takes time! We enjoyed the views and our drinks in that time anyway. Our waiter was lovely! We...had fresh fish (delicious) and homemade prawn and lobster ravioli (yum). Great atmosphere. We’ll be back!More
Sammys is close the port so was ideal after a day on the water. There are several restaurants all close together, we hadn’t chosen where to eat and we politely engaged with a staff member who offered us a table, none of the other restaurants...did this so after having a look around we decided to come here. We couldn’t fault the service it was busy and all the staff where helpful and friendly. The drinks where delivered promptly and the local red wine was perfect for our meal. Whilst we waited for our food and apetiser was brought over to us on the house which was unexpected and welcomed, if it was on the menu we would have quite gladly ordered and paid for it. When the food arrived it was delicious, the pasta is freshly made and cooked to perfection. We also sampled the prawn dish which is a little more pricey which was expected as these where red prawns. Overall we had a lovely meal and the staff especially the head guy where super attentive and on the ball. We would definitely go back if we were in the area.More
Excellent braised octopus, perfect lamb and a delicate wine. And a huge smile from the staff. I recommend this restaurant without any problem. Perfect!
Lovely restaurant with friendly staff. Lots of specials available and plenty of fish and local dishes. We had the rabbit and tuna, both were beautifully cooked and good portion sizes. Highly recommend this restaurant.
This restaurant serves the best authentic fresh food in Malta. Everything was fresh and delicious and served with a smile. It was such a welcome relief given how little there is to do in Gozo.
Best value we’ve had all holiday (including Gozo and Malta). Great food, lots of extra bits on the house, friendly staff- nothing we would have changed and everything we could’ve wanted. Would recommend!
Traditional Gozo restaurant overlooking the beautiful harbour had ambience and charm. Our humorous waiter served us delicious seafood and we would highly recommend this place. Happy days!
We had dinner two days in a row at this lovely and local restaurant. It is one of the most local and authentic restaurants on Malta (Gozo). If you are into local food with the purest tastes, then do not hesitate and dine here. It...is not expensive and you are served by lovely people ! And for the Belgian travellers, there is a Belgian waiter. What a guy ! If he sees this comment: "Ge waart ne top kerel ! Dikke merci om ons te bedienen met een lach en een zwans. Doe zo voort." And for the Spanish waiter: "Gracias por el servicio." Overall, fantastic !More
Today my partner and I had lunch here. Seafood tagliatelle. It was the best I've had! Beautiful flavour with fish in abundance. We also ordered cuttlefish salad which to was really nice. Good service. I really recommend. The only reason I've give it a 4...star is due to the washroom. Very steep narrow stairs. You would not manage afther a few to many. But all in all, a lively dining experience.More
