Great value tasty food

Good tasting food at a great price. Order as much as you can eat for a set price - ice cream is €1 extra so affordable. Drinks reasonably priced Bit unclear to begin with but the food tasted fabulous. Everything comes as a small plate which allows you to sample a wide selection of food. Restaurant was packed today so clearly a popular choice Staff very friendly - managed to get over language barriers very easily Will eat here again!

Well, there are better ones. The normal place, the rather unfriendly waiters removing one of the men, do not speak Spanish and neither do to explain anything to you so you have to find a little life. Very negative point, does not accept payment by card to Spaniards.

This is an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant, but you can probably dine a la carte or have a take-away too. Staff is very friendly and professional. Lunch is about 11 euro and dinner about 14 euro, which are very affordable prices. Quality of the food is very average, but cannot complain for these prices.

Uneasy feeling

Came here for a solo meal. The place is very clean. 14.90€ for adults all you can eat menu buffet. Drinks are extra, an ice tea cost me 1.60€. I was not impressed with the quality of food, my noodles were served to me using Italian spaghetti, not a traditional oriental style noodle and did not look like the picture on the menu at all, very bland and oily. I asked for small portions as I was by myself but they still gave me a huge a amount of food, which I felt I had to finish before I could order more. I was also told to wear my mask while inside, but I don't understand how they expected me to eat my food. When I asked staff members what meat was used in certain foods they could not tell me and so I had to keep asking the chef. When it was time to pay with card the staff told me I can only use Portuguese cards on their card machines, even my international card did not work. I didn't have any cash on me and I was ordered to go to the cash point to withdraw money which the bank charges for. I was really annoyed as had I know this beforehand I would of never eaten there. There are no signs on the door to inform customers of this. The staff members said all tourists have to take out cash, which left me with an uneasy feeling about the business. I will never visit this restaurant again, very poor.

The worst sushi I've ever eaten in my life

- Little variety on the menu - The sashimi was not fresh. The tuna one was extremely dry. Which is unacceptable. - Very unfriendly service. We felt sick to our stomachs when we left the restaurant due to the terrible way the food was prepared. Definitely not to go back!! I have never given such a mediocre review to a restaurant as I am giving it now.

We ate delicious food here 3 times in one week. We received excellent service and the food was exquisite, highly recommended if you are in Monte Gordo to visit this restaurant. Very friendly and hardworking staff. Very good value for money. 非常感谢你们的美味佳肴和悉心照料

Popped in on a wet Wednesday lunchtime

Never been to a Japanese restaurant as a couple, obviously didn't know what we were doing, Lovely waitress took over and we have just had our holiday highlight meal, the food was super and just kept coming, service was great we don't speak Portuguese or Japanese so communication wasn't easy but I hope they understood how much we enjoyed our selves and the meal.

We came for takeaway but they did not want to serve us, because for some reason there was no takeaway that day. We drove 20km because we heard they had good sushi.

Good If You're A Big Eater

We stumbled across this place without really paying much attention, us neanderthals thought it was a Chinese restaurant. Anyway not great fans of Sushi we went off the last couple of pages which was hot food and it was all very nice, it's not really very well explained in English so we were just guessing off the pictures but everything we got was nice, I just wish I was a bigger eater, still at €15 you can get a good scram.

I had all you can eat lunch buffet. The sushi and sashimi was really fresh. The waitress attended my table in a timely fashion and rechecked if I wanted more. Highly recommended if you like Japanesse. I saw they had other food options like various Chinese but I did not try.

Positives: the freshness is incredible. No doubt of that at all. The food arrived in a timely manner. Negatives: staff not that attentive at who ordered what. If you are laid back enough, just means you have a few dishes to rearrange! MAKE SURE YOU LOVE SUSHI. the majority of the options is Sushi. If you are not a huge fan, I probably would not come here, just because of the lack of options besides sushi (they do have some, of course). Rated average because my experience here was not terrible, but wasn’t great either. Somewhere in the middle.

Great Sushi

Nice place to go out if you are a sushi fan. I was in Monte Gordo in March an they had great offer all you can eat just for 14 euro. I wonder if that works during high season? Nevertheless I give high marks for this place and recommend it.

Great Food... every time !

We have been back to osaka for a few years now, this time, in November 2017... we went there 3 times on our visit to Monte Gordo. The food is excellent, the wine is good and the staff is looking after you, we are happy with the service and will definitely be back.

Food Good - Staff Miserable!

My parter and I eat here regularly. The food is always of good standard and offers exceptional value for money. The salmon sashimi is a particular favourite. It’s always freshly prepared and well presented. As good as it is, this restaurant is let down by the waiting staff, who although fairly efficient seem miserable and their poor attitude can spoil what potentially be a good all round experience.
