We had the most fabulous experience in this hobbit style restaurant. This is not a cheap experience however nowhere is cheap in Norway. We chose to have probably one of the most expensive meals on the menu which was like a Norwegian tapas paired with local...More

...and pleasant ambiance and prices that, while outrageous in most of the world, are quite reasonable by Norwegian standards. Best beer I’ve had in Scandinavia, and that’s a sufficient condition to visit. Excellent and friendly staff, food is much better than one normally gets in...More

Stopped in with my husband who loves beer. He raved about the brew and I was blown away with the setting. They have given tremendous attention to the decor. From the chairs fashioned from tree trunks to the fire pit area, they have not missed...More

This place is a brewery and bar with excellent local made beers. There are tours and tastings and the atmosphere is very Viking and the beer great. Recommended.

Everything is expensive in Norway, but this place is charming, nice food options, and we enjoyed their beer (did the sampler). Good to get in when they open before the cruise ship(s) disgorge their passengers!

Expected small samples of beer and tiny portions of food. What we received were 5 ample portions of 5 different beers and 5 appetizer size tastings of delicious local food including dessert. We would all recommend this choice.

You want choice? You've found your spot We wandered in to see what all the fuss was about and the inside architecture did not disappoint, nor did the choice of drink options. Locals and tourists alike mingled in the "Viking House" designed pub. Definitely worth...More

Did not eat here so can't address the food. Beer selection was outstanding with a good variety of local Norway beer. Good atmosphere and décor. Not the greatest service.

I went to this place last night for beers and dinner with a couple of friends. The building itself is beautiful and the interior is how I would imagine an old world viking pub to look like. Staff were nice and helpful. Good range of...More

All I can say is the beer was good, the food, not so much. The atmosphere and decor was nice. The service left much to be desired. I distinctly had the feeling they didn't care because this is typically a one night town with little...More

Dear Guest! Thank you for the response Since you are not specific about what you did not like about the food - it is very hard to give some constructive feed back from our kitchen. We are also sorry about the service level and that...More

No. I wish they did. That was something I wanted to try in Norway, but could never find it.

Id say that Ægir is one of the must-visit things in Flåm, especially if you enjoy good beer. In an hour you can taste beer and enjoy the feeling and architecture of the place. No reservations.
