thank you very much :)
My family live in Ebeltoft and this is their favourite cafe in town so we always go there with them when we’re visiting. It is run by a friendly & hard-working young couple who are currently investing a lot in the cafe so they can...freshly make their speciality - flødebolle - in the cafe. The panini are all excellent - fresh, tasty and good value. The cakes are homemade and extremely good. There is also a good selection of ice cream. Now the coffee, I can see that some others have complained about it and there is, of course, a large element of personal taste with coffee choice. Personally, I really enjoy their espresso based coffees, especially the latte, and having lived in Italy, I would say it was very authentic. We were there today and saw several people come in to buy takeaway flødeboller so word is obviously getting around about how good they are and I look forward to seeing the new machine in action.More
i am speechless 🙏🏻 thank you 🙏🏻 this nice words means a lot for us ❤️ more then you think
This cafe has a very good Italian-like Coffee and some great homemade cream puffs, which are defenetly worth a try. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. Very much worth a visit.
thank you ☺️😉 we are happy you liked them ❤️
Had a cappuccino. Bought it because of a good review. It was quite a disappointment. Maybe some other stuff is good. But coffee sucks.
Bad service, long time waiting on our food and drinks. Food was boring. We didnt get the coffee We asked for.
We ate the Ceasar Salad and it was alright. Only four ingredients. Cosy backyard and nice staff. The menu is small and straightforwardly, which is a good ting.
My wife and I took the kids here for breakfast on our first day in Ebeltoft and were very impressed. Very friendly staff, delicious food and the best americano I've had in ages. The Italians know how to treat their customers. The kids loved it...too. We'll be back.. 😎More
I have been on a temporary work assignment in Denmark for the past year. Whenever the weather is nice I try to get out & about to a new location to explore. Saturday, June 4th was such a day & I ventured to Ebeltoft. It...was a very hot day (80's) & as I wandered the pedestrian street I came across Café Sicilia a little after Noon. There were a couple of small tables out front where a couple were enjoying their coffee along with a sandwich board that listed what the Café serves. The sandwich board was only offered in Danish so that was a challenge to an English speaker like myself but I decided to venture inside anyways to at least get a Gelato. When I entered I was immediately greeted by the owner behind the counter & when I answered him back in English, he immediately switched to very well-spoken English. He asked if I wanted some lunch & given how clean the place looked & how friendly he came across I decided to say 'yes' & ultimately, I was very glad I did. He showed me the lunch card (in Danish) but walked me through in English every dish & how it was made & what it contained. I decided to try their Caprese salad with my usual Pepsi Max. He told me that they had a pleasant spot out back if I'd like to sit outside rather than inside. So, I chose out back. It's a small veranda with about 4 tables with umbrellas to provide shade from the sun when necessary. It overlooks some old, quant back building with flower boxes to brighten things up. Tables are nicely covered with some bright, oil skin cloths. All in all it creates a very peaceful & pleasant ambiance. My Pepsi Max arrived promptly & very shortly thereafter my Caprese salad. The dish was nicely presented with fresh basil & tomatoes along with good quality, fresh mozzarella. There were 2 pieces of very lightly toasted, fresh white bread on the plate which proved wonderful for sopping up the olive oil & juices of the salad. As I ate, the owner came & checked that I had everything I needed and we engaged in some interesting conversation occasionally interrupted when another customer arrived. He is originally from Sicily but has lived in Denmark now for many years. It was my impression that it is his wife that is doing the cooking & at one point, he introduced me to their little baby boy. It was obvious that this is a family run business that they pour their hearts & lives into. After I finished my salad, I decided to finish things off with another Pepsi Max & a gelato cone. The owner made a recommendation that instead of having another Pepsi that I instead try one of the locally made, organic sodas. They are made in Ebeltoft & come in 3 flavors. I tried the Ginger flavor & it was very refreshing. If you visit this Café, I recommend that you try one of these sodas. My 2 scoop gelato cone was good and the gelato of a similar quality to that which I have experienced in my many past trips to Italy. So, if you're in Ebeltoft & in the mood for gelato, I suggest you stop on by. All in all I had a lovely lunch here & was pleasantly surprised when the owner gave me a mini macaroon as a departing treat when I paid my bill (which was very reasonable by Danish standards for what I had). I highly recommend this Café for a simple, pleasant lunch.More
