A real insiders' tip, a small jewel well hidden behind an entrance. The food is just fantastic and the service very attentive. That's the perfect place to let the chef guide you through a wonderful culinary journey and rediscover old savours. Excellent gnocchi with gorgonzola and lemon tiramisu!

We were visiting Rome and the assigned hotel was in Frascati. Very convenient. We wandered around looking for restaurants (there aren't many in that area). We had to wait until the restaurant opened so we were early. The lady asked if we had a reservation we said no and then we were taken downstairs to the basement. We were seated... More

The family were just finishing their Sunday meal but welcomed us and we had a great meal. The mixed platter starter was a meal in itself.

We were strolling around in Frascati and ended up here. At first I thought there were not many people because Frascati is full of restaurants and maybe they didn't see this place because it's not really in the center. Later I found out that it MOST PROBABLY wasn't full because the food and service were really horrible! Only 2 tables... More

Our group stumbled onto this out of the way spot during a recent trip to Frascati and we were so happy to find it! Our waitress, Rachel, was outstanding and we absolutely loved her! We had a large group of 9 so we were seated in the downstairs area which was empty at the time, but was pretty crowded by... More

The waitress couldn't be anymore helpful or kind. When we arrived the place was empty but being a Saturday night the local families started to arrive. Boy was it loud but made it very festive(?) The food was delicious maybe a bit oily for us but very tasty and generous portions. Disappointing that they only had packets of olive oil... More

We as many others just happened by one evening. It turned ot to be the best place we had a meal on a 2 week trip! Food was incredible and service was excellent. Their English is limited but who cares when the food is so awesome! Wish we had gone back during our stay there...we would highly recommend it to... More

By accident we arrived at this restaurant in Frascati, home made pasta outstanding, the atmosphere was great. Even though the staff had only limited English skills they were very friendly and welcoming. Recommend it to anyone passing by this town.

Isn't it always the way that you always find the best places on your last day? Well this was the case with Il Guscio. We found the place totally by accident and had a real treat. In fact we were both so enamoured with the place, that we said about how good the meal was and that we would definitely... More
