I think this place changed hands and suffered as a result. I've noticed some of the other reviews and they are not without merit. That said I think they have noticed and are really trying to improve. The chef came to our table several times to ask if we were satisfied and offered us samples of various items, including some... More

We always go here at least once on holiday as we love their suckling pig and picanha. As usual excellent, basic Portuguese restaurant, nothing fancy but good value .

This restaurant is an old habit to visit several times during the year and Everytime that I come to vilamoura. Although this time was a complete disappointment. The service quality went from a place where we used to be advised about the food and the wine and the staff was experienced to a place with some random guys serving us... More

I recommend the cod. The quality of the fish was superb and it was prepared in the traditional style. Perhaps a side salad or dish of vegetables would have been good but there was so much bread and delicious olives it did not seem to matter. The service was prompt, friendly and helpful even though I speak no Portugese. Most... More

I have been there about two years ago, and went back for the "Suckling Pig", that's a dish I love, and it was very nice on the first visit. This time, certainly it was not a piglet, as it is supposed to be, but a rather old and fat pig! Very greassy meat, and very large bones, so, obviously not... More

Waiteressing is awful. Meat took more than an hour to be served. Sangria was horrible so we add to send it back (so as an other table did). It was like 30°C in the restaurant. The bread wasn't fresh. Meat is great, especially picanha but it is not worth supporting all these flaws.

Excellent suckling pig, my partner had the Brazilian steak with all the extras. Superb. Staff helpful but a little flustered as very busy but fresh bread and nibbles different to the norm.

We took a recommendation from a local Portuguese man whom we engaged in conversation one evening. He told us of the local delicacy of Suckling Pig and the taste, presentation of the dish, the tenderness of the meat and the cooking of the animal. The restaurant is a 4 or 5 euro taxi ride from Vilamoura and it is situated... More

Recommended by another restuarant owner, we had two of the nicests meals. The couvers were such good value, home made crusty bread, cheeses and sausage as well as the normal olives and carrots (which were so good) They had sold out of suckling pig the first time so we went back and it was excellent. Such good value for money,... More
