Superb antipasti selection of meats and cheeses. This was followed by home made pasta with wild boar. Wonderful! All was washed down with house red and sparkling and still water. The dessert was a superb Grandmother’s Cake. A very enjoyable experience.

Visit this quaint spot in the heart of Tuscany. Great food with a beautiful view. I recommend the Cinghiale. The hospitality and service are fantastic. The owner speaks English fairly well if that is a concern.

Wow! This is the home cooked food and family service one travels to Italy for. Loved the lasagna, ravioli, eggplant, zucchini, and blueberry cheesecake. Fantastico!

We are staying not far from Il Ceppo and we were looking for a place for lunch. The large number of cars parked in front was a dead giveaway to the fact this was a local restaurant. The menu was written on a chalkboard and you chose your dish, order at the counter, give them your name and find a... More

Absolutely the best restaurant to spend a chilli day tasting boar, pici, zuppa and Chianti wine in couple or friends. Cheap priced and excellent service.

We got to Il Ceppo by chance, but very happy to have done so, on a Sun afternoon, after the kitchen had already closed for lunch. The owner however, was extremely helpful and tried to accommodate us. We were served some of the best home-made lasagna, delicious stuffed peppers and tuna aubergines. For desert we tried to excellent nutella cheesecake.The... More

David continues to run a most welcoming and friendly bar with a selection of spirits, wines, soft drinks, as well as cheeses and hams. He also serves breakfast but the fine dining restaurant has now closed. He continues to run a fabulous bed & breakfast with four or five rooms and is a fabuous host. His welcome is the warmest... Dropped in here for a glass of preseco and a spritzer tonight - we are staying nearby. €2 for a proseco is a bargain compared to some of the places we've been!! But this is a real locals place... the locals tell me that lunch is good, so if you are staying nearby - and at about €7 for a... More
