We stopped for a quick lunch and both chose the mushroom pasta. It was one of the nicest pasta dishes I have tasted. Feels like a traditional restaurant with the chunky wooden tables and ceramic glasses. The staff spoke good English which was a great help to my husband and I as our Italian is limited to the very basics.

We do not recommend this location, but for one time it might be ok. We have had two different meals (also from description) but both showed the same "industrial" sauce base and nearly tasted the same. The ribollita soup was very good, but the meat was not very good prepared and tough. Service was friendly and ok. For one time... More

We had a lot of good food during our trip to Italy, but the meal we had here definitely stands out. We took the proprietor's recommendations and loved everything we had. He had spent time in the US, and his English was excellent, so we equally enjoyed the conversation we had after the meal.

very simple "osteria" that offers great traditional dishes of the tuscan cuisine: we tried mixed antipasto, that included salumi, cheeses, grilled vegetables and so on, pici cacio e pepe, pici al ragù senese, peposo, apple cake and chocolate cake: all fresh and delicious. Great red "wine of the house". price: correct.

In the town of Monteriggioni you can found this restaurant little, rustic and very quaint, friendly staff, good food of the best Tuscan tradition. To be considered as a stage from which to taste the tipical traditional Tuscan dishes. Highly recommended.

The food was very tasteful, friendly staff and one of them spoke English too. Toscana wine for acceptable price. They have a nice bordeau dog living in the garden, but I can understand that not everybody can accept this.

I made reservations here not aware that in this period they were only offering the Olive Oil Tasting menu - a fixed menu for Euro 10.00. I think they should have told me when I booked that we wouldn't be able to order from the menu. Although the food was very good I am only giving them a four because... More

I've eaten here three times on separate visits to the area, so I guess you can assume that I like it! If you're looking for cutting edge or fusion takes on Italian cuisine, this is not the restaurant for you. If you're interested in regional Sienese cooking, look no further. Never mind what Mama used to cook--I reckon we're going... More
