We visited this restaurant on the basis of Tripadvisor reviews. The restaurant appeared to have moved quite recently to another place in the same street. The new place was very spacious and nice. The food was excellent in all respects. The quality of food was excellent and quantities were great. Service was a bit lax at moments. Overall certainly to... More

As sugested by the employee, I chose the turbot “rodaballo” which was fine, not excelent because it was a bit underdone with some bloody traces. The accompanying tomato slices were very poor and lonely side dish… but the disaster was the dessert. That supposed tiramisu ought to be banned from the menu… nothing like the real thing. Distateful.

We had a nice meal here. The menu is extensive and the size of the meals is equally big. Even the tinto de verano came in a huge glass. After the kids polished off their lamb chops they somehow managed to eat the lovely big slice of cake (complimentary!) and we all enjoyed our digestivos (alcoholic and non) from our... More

This was our third visit to Merida and each time we have eaten here. Our hearts sunk a little when we found the old premises has closed but the new one is bigger and brighter (if a little less traditional). Don't be put off. The food is tasty. On balance the starters are the best but no complaints about the... More

Very loud, very bright, plastic chairs, horrible service, meat too salty. A bad experience. Looked like it was everyone's first day on the job. Skip it.

Just had dinner here. But note they have moved form the orginal buiding to a bigger one about 25 meters down the road on the opposite side. Much bigger and more modern. Staff excellent and food even better. A must visit for Merida.

After a week in Merida, I would say that La Bodeguilla is the top rated restaurant in the city. Casa Nano is my number two choice. La Bodeguilla has a great menu del dia and the a la carte is extensive. The best bargain is the menu del dia. I had pollo a la planca (grilled chicken) and it melted... More

We went in Valentine's day without reservation, but the staff were very helpful and found a table for us, they didn't spoke english but they were tried very hard to explain us the menu. They suggested a fresh tuna with caramelized onion. And we ordered one dessert and they gave us one more as courtesy.

While the menu is expenses, the Menu Diario for only 10 Euros is well worth it. Two courses plus desert. The Menue Diario starts at 1:30. We were there in February and did not have to wait. I imagine that during the height of tourist season there would be a wait. Great service, just make sure you speak some Spanish
