Our hotel recommended this restaurant and all I can say is that it was a real gem. Mamma’s cooking was superb! Would definitely recommend Silve to anyone visiting Fasano.

We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of our hotel and we were so glad we did. What an amazing experience, no menu, just course often course of delicious traditional Italian food. The restaurant is run by a mother and son who were so welcoming...and friendly. If you get the chance to visit I would highly recommend this extraordinary little restaurant!More
We had a wonderful evening at Silve’s. The food was excellent and kept on coming but even better was the wonderful service and ambiance created by the delightful host and his charming mother . Would definitely recommend spending an evening at Silve’s
We have been several time after the shut down. Excellent and a great please to be. Silve and his mother are offering a great Pugliese menu with a lot of local taste. The service is great and eating at Silve is an experience! Keep the...quality!More
Mama and son presentation was great . Highly recommended food, ambiance and experience. Reservation is a must
This restaurant had been recommended by the hotel we were staying at. ‘You MUST go to Silve’ they said. How right they were! The hosts are Silvestro and his mother ‘Mama’. There is no menu - you are invited to partake of a "tasting menu"...of traditional Puglian dishes that, I understand, changes daily, according to what Mama chooses in the shops/market each day. The restaurant is intimate - there were 14 people dining on the evening we went. We were welcomed by Silvestro and ushered to one of the few free tables (we had, fortunately, booked.) Silvestro explained the system and we readily accepted the offer of the tasting menu. He also recommended a very reasonably-priced local red wine, which turned out to be an absolute bargain! Then the unique experience began. The antpastti started arriving - little dishes of loveliness one after the other, some beautiful breads. I cannot remember all the details, but two dishes stand out in my memory - the ricotta cheese dish and the fava bean puree with chicory and beef. Delicate and stunning! Then on to the pasta, based on orecchiette and the two main courses of lamb and beef. By this time, we were fit to burst, and thought we could not possible manage a dessert. But a plate arrived with five tiny mouthfuls of delight that were irresistible and so light that they just fitted in and brought an amazing meal to a stunning conclusion. This was a meal and an experience to remember. I am so glad that we took note of the hotel's recommendation. Silvestro is the perfect host and Mama is a genius! Thank you both for an unforgettable evening!More
Like a night at an unpretentious opera where the cast are the mother and son and the libretto is the family story. The food just comes. Don't even think about going a la carte. Drink the wines Silve suggests. Surrender to the process. Book in...advance. If you have a soul you will enjoy it. Nuff said.More
If i could give Silve more than 5 stars i would, we were welcomed like friends even though we hadn't booked for a saturday night. I don't need to repeat other reviews, save for saying it was simply the most enjoyable foodie evening i have...ever had; from the ambience, to the food, to the warmth of Silvestro & his mum it was just so enjoyable. i don't recignise the one recent negative review of the food, we certainly were not "ripped off"; infact we were told upfront of the cost (€25 each) and due to the amount of food that kept on coming it was a bargain. We were at the point of giving in there were so many dishes & yes many of them were veggie - (the ricotta dish was the best i have ever eaten) but that is part of puglian cuisine! If you want Spag bol or lasagne then head to Olive Garden or some other chain. However, if you want good local cooking served with a passion amidst a backdrop of 70 year old 78's playing, then go here.More
This truly was a brilliant experience. Intimate dining with only 6 small tables. Having spent 5 weeks in Italy this was our favourite, beautiful tasting dishes (meat and vegetarian) and fantastic service. Can’t believe how much food there was, very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend...and hopefully come back one day!More
There was no menu because Silvestro and his mother Maria cook something different everyday depending on what was available, which we think is amazing. We visited Silve on a whim while looking for something authentic and he greeted us with a huge smile, saying that...reservations are a must but if we could wait thirty minutes, he'd have a spot for us. We came back and were welcomed to the table of two other diners. Between these lovely people, Silve and his mother, the whole evening was like a reunion between old friends despite us being strangers. The food was excellent, and couldn't have been more authentic, which is what we were after and the prices were fair. My only critique was that my wife has celiac and while other restaurants we visited accommodated her, she had to miss out on certain courses. Aside from that, this was one of the most fun nights we had and truly brought genuine smiles to our faces. We would love to visit Silve again and recommend you try it!More
