Ordered fresh pasta and was served raw. Some of the pasta not in the center was also cold. Customer service was ok but u can tell by the waiter’s face that he is almost provoting you for no reason. Never will come to this restaurant...again. Price for the food is a joke, based to other reviewers im glad not ordering a steak 😆More
I don’t remember if I’ve ever left 1 star review before, but this time I have no choice.
Everyone in the restaurant was nice and service was fine , we had no complaints there.
We had just been to the nearby spa and hungry and...we were looking for something to eat. The mall seemed to only have chain restairanys and not having any experience with any of them we blindly picked Il Siciliano. I’m not a big fan of chain restaurants, but hey - how bad could it be?
We had bruschetta as a starter and the portion looked good. Fresh Rocket leaves on top of crushed tomatoes and capers with plenty of grated parmesan cheese. However, when eagerly biting in to one, it was cold stale bread. Seriously. It tasted like couple of days old bread, not grilled, not toasted but cold.
For the main I had a pizza and hubby had cannelloni. Hubby’s meal was edible, cannellonis had a ricotta cheese filling and everything was covered with creamy tomato sauce. You know, the type you automatically want to scoop up with a piece of bread… except we had no bread (Italian restaurant that doesn’t serve bread?), so we had to ask for some.
I, on the other hand, had a pizza. It sounded good with salami, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh rocket leaves and chili. I couldn’t finish the thing. It was super greasy. Sure salami can be greasy but this one was soaked. The thing that made it inedible was the crust. It tasted like I imagine grocery store frozen pizza bottom might and it was thick (not pan pizza thick though) and chevy. Arduous to cut with a knife. I usually love my pizza crust, even the average ones but this was nowhere near anything I could even imagine. Maybe it was microwaved? Yes, I'm serious.
After our meal I commented over my barely eaten pizza that unfortunately the pizza wasn’t really edible. The waiter was sympathetic and told me he’ll let the chef know, but that was it. This pizza was 15€.
Do me a favour, eat somewhere else :)More
Fast and polite staff who deliver food and drinks fast. Price quality ratio is excellent and you will not leave the restaurant hungry. Seafood risotto was excellent as well as the seafood starter soup and garlic bread with pesto.
This is a chain restaurant. After an excellent experience in Helsinki Aleksanterinkatu, we were keen to try this restaurant at the Flamingo entertainment center.
The decor here was quite artificially Italy and the big text Santorini in the napkins made us realize that also the...next door Greek restaurant belongs to the same chain.
The service and the food were good but not as excellent as we had in Aleksanterinkatu.More
Food was old and not fresh. No flavour. I ordered pasta and it tasted like cardboard. Rocket was advertised with it and it only came with one small leave.
The waiters made fun of us for a simple misunderstanding.
The food was overpriced.
Make yourself...a favour and make your own food. Less hassle and easier on the stomach.More
Came last minute for lunch. Waiter was very friendly. Had a good meat pasta with chili, garlic & parmesan. I’ve had better pasta but in general nothing to complain. Good lunch pasta. With this experience, I’d have lunch here again.
Starter bruschetta made on grilled bread taste like it was grilled 3 days ago and just heated a little today. Topped with something very cold taken från the fridge. Did not match. Did not taste good or fresh.
Maincourse ravioli, meat sauce and pasta prefab....Defenitely not made in the kitchen at this place. Same quality as food served at schools. Only difference is that this cost 50 times more. Why can not restaurant make something real and by themselves?
They have a kitchen but apparently not chefs that can cook genuin real food.
All in all this is way overpriced, prefab, low quality and pretty tasteless food.
Only good thing was the waitress.
Waste of money going here!More
